About

PitmasterSocial is a community for people who enjoy barbecue — whether you're running an offset in the back garden or still working out your kettle. RECIPES WORTH COOKING Browse recipes shared by members who actually cooked them, with ingredients and steps laid out properly and a "cooked by" count so you know what's tried and tested. Metric or US units, your choice. Follow the pitmasters whose cooks you rate and see their recipes first. TRACK EVERY COOK Tap "I cooked this" on any recipe: add photos, the temperature and time you actually ran, notes while they're still fresh, and whether you'd make it again. Share it with the community or keep it to yourself. PitLog is your private cookbook and cook history — an honest record of what worked and what you'd change next time. WEEKLY COOK-OFFS A theme each week. Enter with a cook, let the community vote or a judges' panel decide, and see the winner announced in the feed. Bragging rights and a badge. EARN YOUR STRIPES Achievements for your first cook, your fifth meat, a seven-day streak, a recipe five other people cooked, a cook-off win. Fun to chase, nothing gated behind them. TALK SMOKE Live chat with other pitmasters, with replies and a week of history so a good thread doesn't vanish overnight. Ask why your brisket stalled, work out whether to wrap, or help someone through their first overnight cook. MEET PITTY Pitty is our AI cooking assistant. Ask about temperatures, timings, wood pairings, rubs, or what to do when a cook starts going sideways. THE COMMUNITY Share your cooks with photos, comment and reply, find the people cooking the same things you are, and tag the gear you used so others can find it. Set up your profile with your grill, your experience level and the style you cook most. LOW AND SLOW, OR HOT AND FAST Smoking, grilling, brisket, pork butt, ribs, chicken, or a Sunday burger — it all counts. Charcoal, gas, pellet, offset, kamado, gravity-fed. Everyone's welcome as long as you're cooking. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW • Free to use. No paywalls, no premium tiers. • No ads. • Browse without an account — sign in when you want to join in. • Sign in with Apple, Google, or Microsoft. • Download or delete your account and data any time, from your profile. We moderate the community and take it seriously. Report anything that shouldn't be there, block anyone you'd rather not hear from, and we'll deal with it. BBQ knowledge is scattered — a technique in one video, a rub in a forum thread, a timing buried in a comment nobody will find again. PitmasterSocial brings it together, along with the people who actually cooked it. Tell us what you want next; someone reads it. Grill together, learn together.

Pit notes: keep dated notes, temps and photos for every cook, linked to any recipe. Keep them private or share them as cards in chat and posts, and save other members' notes to your PitLog. Cook cards to share your cooks, a cook time calculator on the website, and social links on your profile once you're a Pit Regular. Plus recipe scaling, photos and GIFs on comments, a tidier gear row, and fixes throughout.
