Insane transition to AI
it really sucks. this app was goated. simple & clean, did the job right. Now its so cluttered & messy, shoving ai at your face left right & center.
Once reliable app, now infested with ads and limitations
I’ve been using Pixlr and its desktop version for the last ten years. It’s been very reliable software both on mobile and my PC. And there were a few sprinkled ads here and there but I get it - it’s free so there’s gotta be something to make money. Until I went to redownload it and now it’s back to back ads!! It’s ridiculous!! I tried to export and they just kept popping up, some even without an exit button. And for desktop, there’s now a “3 export limitation per day” rule. Advertising in general has gotten so out of hand it ruins the experience as a whole. That and the excessive AI advertising within the app itself smh

I downloaded this app for a free trial and for 5 days straight tried to use it. The software is broken the page wouldn’t load past the Home Screen and none of the features would work. I requested a refund the day they charged me for a whole year and the company and apple have refused to refund me. Do not download this app it was $90 for trash.

This used to be my favorite app
This was my favorite app of all time 10 years ago. I used it every day for years and it was perfect. Then a couple years ago someone must’ve bought it out or taken it over because they started doing updates and the thing just got worse and worse and worse with every “improvement”. Now I just yell at it constantly while trying to use it. It’s the most frustrating app on my phone now. I hate whoever did this with every fiber of my being. I feel like a member of my family has died. Like a piece of my life has been destroyed. That is how much I loved the original version of this app. My life will never be the same now. And no, I’m not joking or exaggerating. It was really that important to me. If you have any kindness in you please recreate the original version of this app for us to download. I would even pay for it. PLEASE.

Last Update Sucks
Everytime you update this I hate it more. The text feature which was the main reason I have kept it, is basically too complicated to use. Your constant price increases show you hate your customers. Now the feeling is mutual.
Ruined by AI EVERYWHERE
The whole app just pushes AI junk. A lot of people don’t want it! I just want to edit my photos like I always did and not be bombarded with AI this and AI that. Please could you at least make a toggle to hide the AI stuff or something? It’s a real shame because I have used this app for years and years and it’s just a mess now :(

Charged for no service
I have paid for 4 times but 500 credits for AI function, but it fail to provide service to me. At same time it keeps charge me $6.99 although it fails. I asked Apple to refund but failed. Those money go to Las Vegas still can get some reward, but buy pixlr AI app cannot get anything. Worse then use for gambling. Don’t give any money to this app!

Long Time User Tired of the BS
Tbh this app is a 5/5, it’s great, I’ve used it forever. I use it to make goofy memes or thumbnails for my YT videos and it’s awesome…when it works that is. This use to be a free app but like all good things, greed and AI take over and try to change it. Pixlr was already a good editing app. It didn’t need AI editing but that’s besides the point. As a free user, you get about 3 photos you can save per day (or like me, finish your edit, screenshot and crop), but sometimes I can’t even open the app and use it unless I choose to pay yearly or weekly. I chose weekly cuz I can’t access the app otherwise and get this…STILL DIDN’T WORK BUT I STILL GOT CHARGED. Only $4.27 but Pixlr/Apple has stolen from me nonetheless.

I paid for the weekly service and it won’t let me do a thing it just wants to make me pay the $99 and I won’t do that I can’t even wait one photo for what I’ve already paid so I will be canceling this

Loyal User for 10+ years, Gone
I’ve been using the Pixlr platform long before the app was an option. Opened it tonight to do something and nope, no longer can use it, I need to pay them $24 a month or $80 a year. I know losing one user means absolutely nothing to them, given that they’re selling out everything that was great about their app, making it incredibly low quality out of the hopes of getting a quick buck from random people, but god this massively sucks for me.
