It’s very well formatted!
I really enjoy using it and everything on it is very simple to use and easily accessible but I don’t like how you must pay for more than two projects I’ve been having to delete my drawings to continue to draw.. I would recommend at least making it up to 5 or 10 just to make it easier to actually draw..👀

Mastering this is worth your time
I don’t ever go into the App Store to hunt down an app I want to leave a review for, this is the only one. If you want to make pixel art on your mobile device, Pixquare is worth your money.
I’ve been cruising around so. many. art programs. It’s truly mind boggling that not a one can deliver a smooth experience for pixel art. There are four big reasons I would choose this over photoshop, procreate, the list goes on.
1. Tools made for pixels. Opacity on perfectly square, pixel sized dots. Ability to curve lines, select pixels and move them without creating blurriness. Rotating selections without blurry result.
2. TILE MAP. I will be the first to say it’s a little overwhelming to handle, but it is SO worth it to learn. Being able to put together scenes with quick grab tiles you drew it impossibly useful. Exporting them as you need, with our without padding, is so glorious.
3. Exporting. All the exporting options you could need for pixel art. Blow it up without 500 extra steps so it’s crisp and clear when you share it ion social media. Keep it small and it will save right and transfer smoothly into your game.
4. Animation tools. I am only now scratching the surface on this and I think it’s going to blow Procreate right out of the water. I already know you can animate in one spot, watch your animation play out and then have each frame spread out perfectly on a sprite sheet without having to rearrange your 15 different movements, so it’s winning really hard right now.
I only have two small things I’d like to see. These are the smallest little gripes, nothing much at all. While still getting used to the app, I’d like the ability to leave names of devices on. The app runs very heavily on you learning what every pictogram stands for. When you click on something like the move tool, on the right side the properties show up with names (deselect/invert/clear) but the names disappear after a few seconds. Would like to see an option to leave the written names of what each button does left on.
Second would be more explanation in the layers window, specifically the fact that there are two places to ‘add layers’, one on the left and one on the right. I know now that the on on the right is frames for animation, but this still continues to boggle me every time I’m in layers. Would love to see more text options with explanations of what buttons do in all of the menus in the layers section. But once again it’s the smallest thing and I could see it being hard to add names to so many tools.
Also thank you for the small little message that showed up while I was drawing saying ‘hey you you’re doing a good job that’s all I had to say keep drawing’ or something along those lines. Had a little heart attack thinking it was about to be some ad or cash shop push but it wasn’t! It was just encouragement! I LOVE THIS APP.

This game is such a good pixel art game. I just wish they had more pixel art that you can do instead of you’ve made, but I just love it so much. It’s my favorite game. Thank you.❤️
The best pixel art app!
I got this app as a supplement to Aseprite but I find myself wishing it was as good as Pixquare whenever I use it now!
Too many distractions
I could barely get through the beginning of coloring an image suggested for i guess what would be the tutorial. I could not have fun using the program because the app would pop up too many menus about doing something or “hey look at this”. Not worth my time
Palette management a little lacking
I really love most of this app but when I created an image with a large custom palette, Pixquare created a palette from it in what looks like a completely random order. I spent two days fighting the palette editor before ultimately buying aseprite to create a palette arranged in a sensible order
Could improve
So I’m one of the people that doesn’t pay and it is really annoying only having 2 paintings could you please give me a few more like max 5?

Perfect pixel art app with just one uncommon issue
This app has everything I need for pixel art and then some. I’ve been using it for over 2 years and I can’t say anything bad about it honestly. The only issue I have is my iPad is pretty old (2018 non-pro) and it can freeze up or have weird crashes and other issues occasionally, but since it’s an issue with the iPad itself, it still gets 5 stars from me.

Uhhhhhhh good yah good app
Uh yah I like it buuuuut….there’s a downside of this app I just started using it and at first it’s super confusing and I’m only 8 so don’t judge me so also it’s just not super easy so umm I’ll have to to take the 5 stars down to 4 stars…ummm..so yeah please fix it somehow pleas somehow pretty please with a cherry on top ☺️😜😅😅😅😅heh…heh

For a pixel art app it’s actually very simple to use, and for users with more advanced needs it’s still a great app and you can even customize your own theme on here. The developer is quick to answer questions in the reddit and on discord, and pushes updates frequently so that the app runs smoothly, and also very patient.

I love love LOVE this app so much! Learning the animation tools is easy! I love pixel art style, and have even started using Pixquare over a Procrate that I spend 9 bucks for-.
Yes I did pay for the full version on Pixquare but it was 200% WORTH IT! I love that you can customize your UI and Menu! Some things could still use some tweaking but either way this is the best mobile drawing/animation app I have ever came across, please keep up the good work this is Fantastic! 💛💛💛

Great art/ani app!
I’m a professionally trained animator and illustrator who mainly uses computer programs for work, and one of the things I’m always looking for are good iPad art/animation apps that function to the same level as PC ones. Tried Pixquare after doing some research and after a bit decided to invest in the full version! I’m trying to expand my pixel art portfolio and be able to do it on the go as well so this has been great. The animation settings are really intuitive and easy to use even without keyboard shortcuts. Highly recommend it!
