Plantekn 1.7.4. TWICE THE DRAWING AREA You now draw on 50 × 50 metres instead of 25 × 25. With PRO you can go further, to 75 × 75 or 100 × 100, enough for a whole plot, a farm, or a commercial building. The size is chosen per project, so a small flat need not sit on a huge sheet. Existing projects keep their position exactly as it was. CROP TO WHAT YOU WANT TO SHOW With the new Crop tool you drag a frame around the part of the drawing you want, and the export takes that. Show only the living room if that is what matters. Without a frame the whole plan is included, centred and correctly sized, even when the plan is ninety metres across. FURNITURE IN YOUR OWN COLOURS Pick from twelve colours per piece and see them in both the plan and 3D. The colour lands on the surface a piece is clad in; oak legs, the chrome on a tap and the glass in a display cabinet stay as they are. Kitchen fronts are coloured as one run, not cupboard by cupboard. All 112 pieces have also been redrawn with proper plan symbols: door swings, drawer lines, hatching where you see into an open shelf, and dashed outlines for what hangs overhead. ELSEWHERE Large plans are faster and handle memory better, the walkthrough has a truer field of view so rooms feel the size they are, and export no longer clips corners off very large drawings. Sloped ceilings are out in this version: the model applied to a whole floor, and the gable never came out right in 3D. Floors that had one now show their full area. The knee wall and roof pitch stay saved in the project. The app also has a new icon: a P drawn as a floor plan. Plantekn is made by one person. What you say shapes the next version.
