Plantminder is a plant saver also for your wallet!
I was using another free app that I loved but after 5 years is no longer being supported and I started to lose my information. Searching for a new app, I found Plantminder. This app is wonderful and just as good in every way except for one. I miss not being able to see at a glance which plants will need to be watered the next day, in a few days, in a week. You could also easily delay a plants watering by a couple days when you realize it isn’t quite time yet. This was especially helpful when going on an upcoming trip. Otherwise I’m loving this app and happy to find a great replacement. It’s ridiculous to see so many similar apps charge $6 a month, $60 a year when I just want an app to help me remember to water my plants. I think it’s fair to buy an app but a subscription just seems like a money grab.

It didn’t sync with my cloud
How am i supposed to recover plants from a different device?
Wow!
I grow a variety of plants, but tropical fruits trees specifically. This makes my life so much easier to keep updated with growth, watering, feeding, flowering. Excellent build of the app. Bravo.
Love but missing one option
Love the water and misting reminders. The room feature is great as I have many all over the house. Only thing I would recommend is being able to manually sort the photo so you can put them in order. So as I walk around the room I can go from plant to plant without scrolling to find it. I have about 100 plants.

I love this app so much. It’s all I use to keep track of my plant watering and fertilizing. I love how it’s free and I really struggled to find a free app.

I love the layout and being able to organize the plants into rooms. The journal feature is also amazing. I love all the things you can log and add new pictures to keep track of their health and progress.
I also really like that you can set separate reminders for each plant.

There are a couple tweaks that would make this app a 5 star for me:
When logging in the journal I’d love to be able to leave a note for each entry. For example if I log a repot I’d love to be able to write a note about soil type etc. Or if I log a fertilizer I’d love to leave a note to record which fertilizer I used and how much.
I’d also like to be able to edit notes that I log instead of having to delete a mistake and start over.
What would really set this app apart would be adding a calendar page. So we can look at all the watering due dates on a calendar instead of having to look up/click into each plant individually.
But I will definitely be using this app from now on!❤️

Perfect for my needs.
The app is simple and it works. I can keep track of my plants and keep a journal of pictures and my efforts to care for the plants. I can set up reminders as needed. All this for free. I took away one star only because the app now crashes when trying to switch to list view. Not sure the developer is still managing the app.

Absolutely incredible!!
I’ve tried a number of plant apps, but this is hands down the best! No subscription or payment required, super easy to use and understand, and the tracking/reminder system is perfect!! It’s been so handy since I’m so forgetful 💚🪴🌵 I’m incredibly grateful I’ve found such an awesome app that has no payment barriers. Thank you so much!!

Recovered missing plants following iOS update
I was using this as a garden journal, obviously not what it is designed for but it was reasonably useful for that purpose for a free app. After a recent iOS update all my plants had disappeared.
I contacted their support who helpfully suggested it may be an iCloud setting and they were right: re-enabling iCloud access for the app in my iOS settings resolved the issue.
If you come across the same problem you may want to try this same solution.

Excellent Plant Journaling App
This is just the kind of app I was looking for. Allows me to journal all my specific plants and note anything down. Keeps track of progress pictures and can export to my photo roll (or vice versa). No ads and extremely responsive and user friendly. Perfect app to track your plants!!
Great app. Helps a lot
Great app. Easy to use, layout is clean and nice looking. I would forget when/what I have done without this app.
Some options I wish it had
- I had a plant that was destroyed by a storm and tried to bring it back but no luck. Would be nice to still have it on the app but in another section (dead, no longer with me etc section). Only thing you can do is turn off all reminders for it and create a new room for the plants to be listed in.
- when you hit water, fertilise, repot etc it lets you also add a note if you want. Instead of having to do it separately. So it’s altogether in 1 journal.
- maybe option to add your own journal type.

This app is exactly what I was looking for to keep track of when my plants need watering and feeding. Also good for keeping a journal with photos of each plant to see how much they’ve changed over time
Absolutely amazing
The app is quite basic and lacks a lot of the premium features expected from other apps, but very refreshing with lack of paid options ads for subscriptions. For most plant parents and absolutely amazing app with many customizable options. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Just what I needed
Edited: from 5 stars to 3: this dropped down to 3 star ratings because the notifications to remind to water or fertilize are in app only - meaning, I have to open the app to see a notification. I had thought I would get a red badge on the app or a notification on my home screen. If this changes I will bump my rating back to a 5.

Great app
After trying about 10 other plant apps I finally found one that doesn’t want a monthly subscription and gives me exactly what I need without a bunch of extra stuff getting in the way. THANK YOU!!
Simple yet effective!
I’ve tried a few plant tracking apps and this one has been the best! It’s simple, which is great, because it otherwise ends up being too many things to track. The best thing about this one is that you can customize the watering reminders, and it’s great that it keeps reminding you if it’s been missed.
A few suggestions for improvement:
1) Add info for each plant that gives you the rolling average if time between watering for the last 4 or 5 waterings. It could even suggest updating the watering schedule (to reduce or increase watering frequency).
2) Add a note that says how many days it’s been since the watering schedule has been passed. Todays tasks could even be sorted by the amount of “days overdue”

Best plant app
I really like this app. I like that you can see the history of pictures per each plant to see how the plants grow over time. I also like that there’s not a limit for how many plants you can add to track (or at least, I haven’t ever seen the limit, so if there is one, it must be a decent amount.) I love that it’s free to download and free to use. I recommend this app to many people who have plants.
