OK, dramatic headline, I know. But this app has really changed how I move through my day. I got interested because I was listening to Plantwave music on YouTube at night. Got this as a gift from my partner two months ago and have used it every day since. First of all, we can acknowledge (as the makers do), the plants themselves are not “playing music”. Rather, the plants are experiencing shifts in energy (as I understand it), and the Plantwave translates data from these shifts into various notes, durations, spaces, and instrumentations. I have to say that I deeply appreciate the science AND artistry that have gone into the translating. I find the music more calming than most other meditative music I’ve tried. For me it’s something about the randomness of the tone sequences and the fact that there is never a repeating “melody”. I listen while sipping coffee in the morning, while working at home, and while sleeping (with a different “soundset” for each). Thank you to the creators for the heart you have put into this product!

I’m subscribed but all the features I am paying for are locked.
App crashes
This app worked once and only once. When it did it was fantastic but since then every time I try to open the app it either hangs on the intro screen or there’s a button “Next” that cannot be pressed. iPhone 12 Pro 18.3 Also the app doesn’t work on M1 MacBook Air. No amount of factory resetting or deleting and redownloading fixes the issue. I’m a software engineer and trying to debug the app lead me to some really shotty programming. Really disappointed because this is such an amazing piece of technology.

PlantWave is an amazing!
It turns the subtle electrical signals from plants into beautiful music. Super easy to use. Just attach the sensors to the plant and voila!
The melodies it creates are calming and perfect for relaxation or meditation. They help me sleep and it’s a unique way to connect with nature and learn the secret rhythms of plants.
I just wish I could attach it to an ancient sequoia tree and hear what 1000 years of growth sounds like….

Great idea … but crashes
I’m testing the Waveplant device and using the pro version of app. Using latest firmware and the app suddenly crashes also using the Pro version so truly disappointing to pay for this. No idea what’s happening.

Fun to make music with, good customer support.
MIDI function costs extra.
Fun to make music with, but bummed that you have to pay extra to use the midi function. It isn’t clearly stated anywhere on the site that this would be the case, so on top of the $300 device, you have to have a $40 subscription to use all of its functionality.

So sorry to see there's confusion, here. You'll be happy to know MIDI functionality does not cost extra! MIDI functionality and device settings are a part of the standard features of our app to give musicians like you full agency of how your device works with other instruments. Advanced MIDI Settings can be found in the Device Settings menu, where you can enable / disable MIDI, choose MIDI note channel, MIDI CC number, root note and scale type on your device. This allows you to connect your PlantWave directly to a DAW or synth via a MIDI cable (with a 3.5mm TRS Type A adapter), via WiFi or via USB with full MIDI functionality. Not as good as expexted
When I disconnect from my plant, I still hear music, so I question the authenticity of the device really picking up the plant frequency. I had high expectations since it’s very expensive. The pairing button is hard to push, but it is a beautiful little box. My favorite sound is the “Signal” but they all just seem like pre recorded sounds. I’ll have to play with this a bit more to be convinced. But right now, I’m a bit let down.

Love everything about plant wave, would get 5 stars if i could play via apple internal player and then i can send it to bluetooth speakers like my apple home.

I‘d like to see the plants activities visualized in a graph or curve so plant‘s reaction could be monitored real time

We need more scales !

I like PlantWave but as a musician wishing to use it with synthesizers and grooveboxes to make live music, I miss some options which could get implémented I guess !
The number of scales is too low, it would be great if we could create and save our own custom scales at least !
It would be very usefull as well to be able to sync the tempo with an external midi clock and have some quantize options…

Perfect for meditation
As a musician, I was blown away at the creativity behind the PlantWave app and hardware. I absolutely love it for meditation and unwinding after a long day. So epic!

What a gift, and the app is amazing! It always connects and is so easy and fun to use which is a beautiful breath of fresh air. I upgraded to the paid version so that I can tune the device to the frequency of my harp at 528hz and other instruments and that opened up so many beautiful possibilities for me.
