Very useful for backend admin users
Planyo mobile is best used for backend admin purposes, e.g. in a hotel setting, housekeeping staff using smartphone (brilliant on iPhones) to see which rooms are checking out that day, which have guests checking in the same day, making fast admin notes etc.
It’s also easy to take a new reservation via the mobile backend, including running online payments. We use Authorize; very compatible.
The negative reviews from users wanting to make reservations are perhaps understandable as Planyo is best used in full browser applications. iPads are ideal; better than on desktop. I’m doing all of our site development on an iPad Pro. Only thing that doesn’t work great is click and drag with finger; I connect a mouse if I’m doing a lot of that.
Overall Planyo has an ‘Xtreemely’ strong development and tech support team; typically Swiss. Support is efficient and geared to users with at least moderate understanding of current web development protocols in a php environment.
