What's New in Platine
1.3
September 10, 2026
Rooms and groups. Play several speakers together, add or detach a room — now from iPhone and Apple TV, not just the Mac. New: a setting decides whether tapping a track opens the full player or keeps the list on screen. New: listening history can be cleared from any device. Apple Music is now recognised on many more Sonos systems. Some were stuck on the setup screen even though everything was properly linked. Playlists from your library now start in a second instead of a minute. Volume changed on one device now shows on the others. Albums show their year, track count and running time, and shuffle is available everywhere. The queue no longer marks a track you have just moved as already played. Anything that fails now says so clearly, instead of a technical message in English. Many translation fixes. The player closes differently: the artwork travels between the mini player and the turntable instead of vanishing all at once. Search now says when it finds nothing. Platine remains free, with no account and no ads.
