Completely unusable
Response from developer
Hi, I hear you, and that’s been fixed. I’ve listened to the feedback and there’s now a completely free version, supported by a few ads, so the app is fully usable without paying. The paid option is still there for anyone who wants to support development and remove ads, but it’s entirely optional. Just update to the latest version and you’ll have full access for free.
Sketchy

Hi, I understand the frustration and I’m sorry the app left that impression. This has changed: I’ve listened to the feedback and there’s now a completely free version, supported by a few ads, so you don’t need any subscription to use it after signing in. The paid plan is still there for anyone who wants to support development and remove ads, but it’s entirely optional. If you give the latest version a try, you’ll be able to use the app for free.
Just a big disappointment now..

Hi, I hear you, and I’m sorry it came across that way. I’ve listened to the feedback: there’s now a completely free version, supported by a few ads, so you and everyone you recommended it to can keep using it without paying. The paid lifetime option is still there for anyone who wants to support development and remove ads, but it’s entirely optional, no forced payments and no lockouts. Thanks for backing the app and spreading the word.
Rug pull

Hi, I’ve heard the feedback loud and clear. There’s now a completely free version of the app, supported by a few ads, so everyone can enjoy it. The PRO option is still there for anyone who wants to support development and remove ads, but it’s entirely optional, no forced payments and no lockouts. Thanks for being an early supporter.
Outrageously priced
Forcing pro on people

I get that this is not the change you wanted. I kept the app free as long as I could and started with a voluntary Pro tier to try to sustain it. After two months, there were more than 2,000 users and only 3 financial supporters, so I can’t keep paying for servers and maintenance myself. The app is now paid at a fair rate. My apologies for any upset.

My apologies for any upset. The issue where trophy information wasn’t correctly syncing has been fully resolved. It was only a temporary server-side outage.
Paywalled
Response from developer
I appreciate the honesty. I kept things free for as long as it was feasible and tried an optional Pro so backing the app was voluntary. After two months, with over 2,000 users and only 3 supporters, I can’t fund hosting and upkeep out of pocket anymore. I’ve moved to paid access at a fair price. Sorry for the frustration this causes.
PlatSeekers is now a Premium App?!?!
Response from developer
Thanks for the honest feedback. I kept the app free for as long as I possibly could. I first tried an optional Pro subscription so support could remain voluntary. After two months, more than 2,000 people were using the app and only 3 chose to support the project. I can’t continue covering server and maintenance costs out of pocket, so I’ve moved to a paid model at what I believe are fair prices. I understand this change is frustrating, and I’m truly sorry if it has disappointed you. Thank you for using the app and for sharing your thoughts.
Nice, but not as a monthly subscription
I can’t justify a monthly subscription for an app like this, when there are other free alternatives.
Don’t use
Unable to use app
Response from developer
Totally get the concern. The plan was to remain free, which is why I started with an optional Pro support if you wanted. Two months in, there were 2,000+ users and just 3 supporters, and I can’t continue covering infrastructure and maintenance myself. I’ve set a paid model at what I think are fair rates. Apologies if this change let you down.
Recent update broke the app
Response from developer
I understand where you’re coming from. I kept the app free as long as my budget allowed and tested an optional Pro tier first. After two months, more than 2,000 users relied on it but only 3 supported it, so I can’t keep paying the bills personally. I’ve moved to a reasonably priced paid version. I’m sorry for any disappointment.
No longer a free app
Response from developer
You’re right that there used to be a free version. I kept it that way as long as possible and started with an optional Pro to avoid a paywall. With 2,000+ users and only 3 supporters after two months, I can’t sustainably pay the costs myself. The app now has a paid plan I believe is fair. I’m sorry if this shift disappointed you.
Can’t use app anymore
Response from developer
I hear you, sudden paywalls are frustrating. I ran the app free as long as it was viable and started with an optional Pro tier to keep it that way. After two months with 2,000+ users and just 3 supporters, I can’t continue funding the servers and upkeep out of pocket. I’ve switched to a paid plan at what I consider fair pricing. Sorry for the letdown.
