Fake tutors
Worst experience ever. Most of the tutors are either fake or just some old profiles. Keeps getting the same automated reply from everyone. And once got a tutor arranged, he just keeps changing the time. And eventually wouldn’t come on the scheduled time. Total wrecked app.
Best tutoring app available
Extremely friendly and helpful tutors and staff - I learned more in 15 hours of sessions (which are discounted) than 130 hours of university lectures which cost the same price

For a long time during my engineering studies, I gave up on tutoring, following really bad experiences with other local tutoring companies, e.g. SuperProf.
Luckily, I came across Platute, which fixed everything, eg: great customer service (an Australian phone number is contactable, if required), a large amount of engineering tutors to choose from, tutor ‘profiles’ are really helpful and/or easy to read, if you provide enough (detailed) study info for the tutor - you’ll be well looked after, ‘session summary’ sessions are professionally prepared & emailed shortly after session completion, etc.
The greatest thing about Platute is that I developed some really cool professional relationships with certain tutors, even from overseas.

Don’t Use This
Had a lesson where tutor did not know the content after i paid for it. Then had a call from Platute trying to pin the blame on me, then a call three months later offering me a refund if I removed a negative review.
They don’t offer good tutoring, and they have terrible business practices when they can’t deliver a service.

Platute is a great tool for students to gain support and help on studies/projects. If you make regular bookings whether it be with one tutor or several tutors Platute offers students discounts for multiple sessions.
The Tutors in this app are professional and you are provided with their background experience before you get to choose one for your topic.
It’s a beautiful way of converting face to face to Online support. (They also have face to face options too for studying![Pre-Covid])
If your session is cancelled by a tutor you can also select to have someone else take place so no matter what, you still get the support you need to meet your academic deadlines! Platute has been the single app that has been so active on responses and has been extremely fruitful for me!

I can’t believe this exists.
So far in my life whenever I needed help with anything I would either look around for a familiar face to be able to help me or I’d look into other platforms to find someone, right now my whole life seems like a waste. I’ve been trying to find people all over the internet so I could find a solution to a project or simply someone who could help me think. All of that, is now summarized in this app and its platform. Like do you need help with your Uni Course and haven’t understood specific subjects? Hold on, this is the place. As in, you sign up, book a tutor and that’s it. They’ll help you as soon as it is physically possible for a problem to be helped.

I really had a good time on the app so far, you can easily connect with experts and setting up a tutoring session is actually pretty cheap! I am very bad with computers and all of that, so I LOVED that the app sends video call links. We didn't have to setup the call itself, super easy to do! Thanks for looking after IT dumb dumbs like me, cheers

This was great so far!
I was struggling with two Uni assignments, one on statistics and the other one in english literature. I found a tutor for each and they helped me prepare everything!

I booked a free consultation through the app with Platute and they matched me with a tutor who turned out to be helpful. They answered my questions on how to book last minute and how to have online sessions although I found it straightforward later.
Can’t access app
Whenever I open the app it crashes. Was wondering if it’s because it’s incompatible with iOS 14. Disappointed as I wanted to try out the on-demand tutoring service.

Great to find tutors quickly. I liked that everything is inside the app, so it's pretty safe. The tutoring sessions can be organised instantly or planned ahead. The speed at which you can book is very good! I already booked my 5th session for next week. I gave 5 stars but will update my comment if necessary.

Very simple, user friendly and effective. I could find someone to help me prepare my test super quickly. I didn't know that such on-demand app existed, that's pretty cool for last minute cramming.

No ads and great for english tutoring
I was looking for an english tutor near me, to get a face to face tutoring session. It was quick to setup and straight to the point! No ads on the app btw so I will use it again!
