Oddly fun

Tracking stats and seeing how decks do, how people win, etc has been an exciting addition to playing. When you get used to the app it is a very fast addition to your game taking nearly no time to use correctly which was our groups initial worry.

If you mess up win cons, damage, who was using what deck, or various other information, you can still change game logs to represent what really happened in game easy as well.

As a group we have been having fun with the stats and will probably back the paid version of the app soon just because the quality and ease of use deserves praise. Fun, easy to use, and adds an extra layer of detail to our favorite hobby.

Healing

Neat app, I like the concept, but unless I just don’t understand being able to only heal 2+ at a time isn’t great. A lot of my group gain life veer fast so this is a bit annoying.

Great life tracker and extra features

App is in a great state, the discord is active which is a plus. Some occasional UI bugs but it’s only the commander pictures. It tracks life plus you get to track how your deck does overtime. So far I’m loving it and trying to get others to use it. Account setup is easy, but can still be used without it as I’m the only one in my playgroup with an account.

A little involved but worth investing

We’ve got a 10 person pod and this app is awesome at gathering details to see who all is doing what and to who lol

It took all of us a good handful of meetups to work through everything, but it’s an amazing all in one tracker that really does count basically everything minus tokens and counters on your board.

Overall great! still a little buggy

App works great. I was working on making my own version of something like this, but this saved me a lot of time and trouble. Appreciate the app, even though it's not perfect yet :)

The best life tracker and dev team

Playgroup is one of the best things to hit our EDH pods. With so many stats that are tracked it keeps the data freaks in our group happy. Recently one of the updates changed some features, and after the community requested the feature be optional, the dev team quickly made a solution and made our groups members for life

Quality and Experience has Dropped from Before.

The recent updates have made the experience less enjoyable. The quality of the app has decreased. The overall resolution of when we select our decks has dropped, the animation is not needed, bring back the buttons and menus (holding to pass is not needed), and the frame rate is low on an iPad Pro from 2022. The versions in 2024 ran well.

Great for any playgroup

My pod is loving this app. It’s getting us more competitive and we can’t get enough of tracking our stats.

Best Tracker

I’m a huge fan of this tracker. In combination with the website it’s my favorite tracker. I mainly play with one group of 4 people and it’s awesome being able to track the stats of our decks and each player.

I do think the functionality of the app could be a little smoother. The buttons can be a bit hard to tap sometimes.

Great app started crashing on my iPad mini that’s stuck on 12.5.7

Title worked great closed the tablet, got food, didn’t work when came back😭 crashes on start

Best life tracker and so much more!

I’ve been playing commander with friends for several years and have gone through several life tracker apps, but this is definitely the best one. The ability to track commander damage per commander, infect/mass drain spells, etc. all individually are super handy. However, the real value is pairing the app with the website playgroup.gg. A consistent argument in my pod is if a certain deck is more powerful than others or if certain players tend to have stronger decks, and actually seeing consistent win stats over time, what turn each deck wins on, win conditions, and more stats have settled so many discussions and friendly arguments for us, plus it’s just fun to look at! I can’t wait for the updates to keep making it better too.

The Only Commander App You Need

Legit the best life tracking and stats app out there. Our group loves being able to see how decks stack up against each it other, and the ability for different shortcuts of damage and healing is great.

Dream Come True

This is amazing! I love this app so much. Revolutionised our games.

Great - Needs Improvement

Great at tracking stats and the other forms of damage in games of Magic. The life encounter is annoying, though - on the phone it requires a swipe and then tap instead of a simple tap to change life total, and is a bit hard to interact with when you enter certain screens

My favorite life tracker app!

Everything that comes with this app and website are amazing. First of all, it’s free. Second, it makes tracking commander damage super clear. It has really great options for dealing damage to your opponents and yourself. The website gives you the ability to track your games that were recorded on the app and gather some helpful data. Overall it’s a very well designed app and just keeps improving!

Best Tracker for Stats

I have used a lot of different life trackers and this might be the last one I use. Definitely a bit of a learning curve, but after a few times using it, it all comes together.

The magic happens on the website though. You can look at details from each turn, pinpoint who did what on each turn and keep track of when a player is knocked out.

The only drawback is getting everyone on board to make a profile. Otherwise it might not track as accurately

Great; Needs Improvement

Great app, just a little buggy (showing people’s username incorrectly if they changed it, for example.)
