Needs to be utilized in my area

This is such a great idea for an app, but it very under utilized in my area. None of the playground around us have any reviews or rankings.

I will be spreading the word to all my local parents. Hoping to get more eyes on it.

I am so impressed with the PlayScout app and mapping capabilities. This app is very user friendly and includes a lot of great information for families searching for playgrounds. Best playground app I have tried so far.

About time!

This is a wonderful app! I can’t believe it hasn’t already been created yet, but grateful it has now. Not over done, user friendly, and so much potential for additional features. Feels great to be able to contribute to the database of parks and have made it a game with my 3 year old to discover fun new parks together. We built this app as a passion project hoping it can help other parents solve the problem we were facing of finding nearby playgrounds to take our kids to. The best way that you can help is by convincing your friends to use the app and contribute information and photos of parks to the database. The locations of playgrounds are originally sourced from OpenStreetMap, but as you a probably tell, a lot of data is missing, especially regarding photos, details about equipment, and descriptions of playgrounds. It also helps a great deal to rate and review the app, so thank you very much for this. Awesome, but needs community support

I just downloaded this app and it’s amazing. It’s everything I was looking for in a playground finder app. The UI is easy and clean. I love that it shows nearby parks and includes an aerial view. I love all the filters! I love the sheer amount of meaningful data!! The only problem is that for it to function at its best, it’s requires a community to add data on each park they visit. My area doesn’t have a lot of added data. That’s okay - I’m just going to add it myself. It’ll be my own little notes of what parks to visit. And I’ll try to convince my friends to do the same so we can operate on more knowledge. Thank you for building such a beautiful app!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! You are 100% correct--the app works best when your local community adds data about parks in the area. Convincing your friends to add data is the best way to get better photos, descriptions, etc. right now. We are brainstorming ways to increase participation from the community, as well as how to better automatically add other data sources. This is a great park finder app! Love that I can add features to my local parks and they have lots of different parks to sort through!
