Previous: Love the app, love Plex… but this app could really use automatic offline feature so I don’t have to rely on cellular data in areas that don’t have great reception, as well as generally draining battery a lot more vs playing locally. I have a 512GB iPhone for these reasons. Would love to be able to stream on some devices but also have it locally stored, say for my device or a device that only connects to Wi-Fi.

It’s the one I don’t think I can ever live without. Shoutout to Elan Feingold for making me love music all over again
Great addin to plex
Tried other apps to play my music. But this just works. You have to get Plex to add your music folder as a library. After that, it works seamlessly. Hi Res is clearly identified and sounds perfect. Album art looks good.

No Bass/Treble adjust
I can understand charging $$ for a “10 band equalizer with thousands of presets”, but to not have a simple Bass/Treble adjustment in an app that’s only purpose is to play music? Ridiculous!

Update from last year
Love it. Hated it originally, but now it works really really well for my private music library. I’m working towards replacing spotify, and the playlist algorithms aren’t there yet, but I’m confident it’ll happen.

I was an early adopter of Plex about 10 years ago. Bought a lifetime pass and have never looked back. I appreciate owning my own personal media and being able to play it at will thank you developer’s.

Hasn’t been updated in a year. Too much focus on main app but removing focus from audio. Specially after losing TIDAL.
No updates for over a year
What is going on at plex? No roadmap, promised features that have gone under the radar for 3 years?! Where is streaming to multiple devices at once?

So much better than the regular plex app
The plex amp app has more to offer than the original. It comes with many different radio playlists and like other apps, the app will create random playlists based off specific artists. It will compile an amazing “sonically” similar playlist to match that artist with other similar artists.

Complicated for no fukn reason. Stop trying to do apples bs and give us fukn control.
