It’s got the spirit.
I understand where this is trying to be, and I understand that it’s probably devs that aren’t making much aside from revenue from the actual snake. That being said, I have made the mistake of buying such teaching instruments and apps before, just to find out they are clunky, don’t work properly, and that the catalogue of songs wasn’t what I wanted to play anyway. This app has few songs that will resonate with everyone. Looking through, I saw about three songs I wanted to play, but three songs isn’t worth me purchasing the snake. While there is an option to recommend songs, you can’t do so without purchasing the snake. You’re asking for an investment that this might turn into something, and I respect that, but in today’s economy, that is asking a lot IMO.
Lastly, it is advertised that you CAN use this app without the snake, but I thought that meant it was going to use my phone mic to pic up the notes from my piano. It does not. It has a small miniature piano at the bottom of the screen that is entirely too tiny to press any key accurately. This leads to me trying to do a phrase on my piano and the screen keyboard note by note. It is not sustainable. It’s also very annoying that the screen doesn’t rotate to make things larger and you’re stuck in vertical mode.
As I said, I understand where this is trying to go, and I hope it gets there. When it’s more established I will take another look at it.
