Missing bridge closures

The app is missing bridge closures like the one that crosses 6 St SW between 8 and 9 Ave. The “Submit” feedback option in the app does not work to provide this feedback.

Very basic

When you click the logo in the top corner - it takes you no where near the downtown plus15 🤷‍♀️

Would be great to be able to see what’s located in each section or be able to click a link to see what’s in that building.

Hoping to share the app with a convention group next year.

Terrible

This does nothing for you. Not a gps tracking system

Best Calgary +15 App

Since this the ONLY Calgary +15 iOS app, it wins my coveted “Best Calgary +15 App-of-the-Year Award”.

One suggestion to make this even BETTER than the best, would be to label sections with their actual names. While the underlying map often labels some buildings that the +15 traverses through, sometimes there’s no name given at all, or it doesn’t align with the names posted in the actual +15. So for a directionally-challenged person like myself, if asked to meet in the +15 Hanover building or Telus Sky for example, I’d be lost.

Like app would love to see additions

The app is great but it would be awesome if you could somehow add a address or location and have it plot the route or at very least show you where it is located so you can plan a route. Other suggestion would be awesome to have a directory of businesses that are one the +15. Help making lunch choices easier or finding a service.

Convenient but glitchy

A large part of why i got the app was to be able to navigate on deliveries but without being able to see my live location or enter addresses i might aswell just keep using the maps in the plus 15 as they let me know where in the system i am

Super Useful

The +15 is AWESOME but sometimes it’s overwhelming. This app makes it a joy to navigate and the app is awesome to use. Highly recommend!

Very practical if you live in YYC and use the +15

Wish I had this app last time I was downtown. Would have saved a bunch of time wandering around the +15 looking for physical map.

Still not useful

Geolocation lags behind and is inaccurate by 1-2 blocks. Many important landmarks/buildings are not labeled. Why wasn’t the City’s well labeled plus 15 map used as the template? This is a great idea for an app but it still needs refinement.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! We just rewrote the app from scratch, and are releasing new updates as often as can. We feel you on the GPS issues, unfortunately the signal bounces around quite a bit downtown due to all the signal interference between buildings (and especially in the +15). It's something we're looking to improve in the future. Our next release addresses landmarks, buildings, and in some cases interesting art found in the +15 system. I'd love to get your feedback on what more you'd like to see. Feel free to email me at bryan@toyrockets.com!

Almost useful

Map is out of date, does not include Brookfield place.

Map can indicate your location but not provide a route.

+15 system is not open 24/7, provides no indication of access times.

Maps details based of existing database (google?), which shows business locations, not usually building names. No alignment to existing signage in +15 system which is based off building names.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We just rewrote the app from scratch to automatically update the map as soon as the city releases data. On the new version, we dynamically change the color of each walkway depending on if they are open or closed, it should help with a clearer understanding of the access time. If you tap on a walkway, it'll show you the exact hours of operation. Routing is a great idea, and is something we want in the app as well. Stay tuned! I'd love to hear more feedback if you'd like, feel free to email me at bryan@toyrockets.com.

Use the web

It does nothing...
why is this even an app. The wed site is better and works. Very odd. Delete

Response from developer

You're right, the last version was pretty buggy and often the site was way more reliable. Good news — we just rewrote it from scratch and it now provides features that the site doesn't have. Want to give this version a shot and see if you like it any better? - We've color coded the walkways to show what's open and closed at a glance - Access hours are now visible when you tap on a walkway - Dark mode support - Different view modes We've got some goodies in the works too. Stay tuned, or reach out if you want to share any more feedback - bryan@toyrockets.com

Convenient but directions would be awesome

It's great to see a map of the +15 walkways but directions would be very handy. Labelling the buildings would also be helpful so you can find your way to a specific building.

Response from developer

Hey Doris, That's our number 1 piece of feedback so far, and is something we're planning right now. We just released a new version of the app with more features, and with more reliable mapping data. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional feedback - bryan@toyrockets.com

Welcome back!

I really like this app and am glad the devs decided to give it a badly needed updated. So helpful for us navigationally-challenged in the downtown Calgary core.

Amazing!

Fantastic app! It works great for finding your way around downtown Calgary using the +15 system. It's especially useful in the winter when you don't want to venture outside in the cold and snow!

Great app

Super useful for someone like me who works down town!

Downloaded and Deleted

As a visitor staying in downtown Calgary, I downloaded this app to help me navigate through downtown, but found it kind of useless to not be able to search a destination and get directions. That would be a basic functionality in my opinion. Deleted immediately.

Good idea, poor implementation

Great idea but ...
- it doesn't keep up with current status. Some +15's are out of commission when the other building has been removed and new construction is starting with a new foundation.
- no source / destination directions. Couldn't type in a destination address.
- wish: highlight points blocking mobility impaired.

Response from developer

I'm totally replying to your feedback from 2014, but I just wanted to let you know that a brand new version of the app was just released, and we've got more features around accessibility on the way. Routing is a complex beast, but it's something we're actively thinking through right now.

Could be great!

Main issue currently is that the maps are out of date...

Good idea, poor execution

Don't bother. The blue dot does not move with you while you walk through the plus 15 so it is useless. Terrible lags in performance.

Response from developer

Unfortunately we've got no control over the GPS indicator as it's provided to the app directly from your phone. GPS signals can get quite inaccurate especially when you're between large buildings, or in some cases indoors. We just launched a new version, and are looking for ways to improve the experience, thanks for the feedback!

Great idea!

It's great for seeing at a glance if you can get from A to B in the +15s.
