Property managers, lace up. The PM Running Co Step Challenge is a friendly step competition built for the property management community, running from August 1 through September 30 and finishing with a 5K together at the NARPM Annual Convention in Las Vegas. Getting started takes about a minute. Download the app, sign up with your name, company, and NARPM chapter, and connect your step data. The app reads your daily step count straight from Apple Health, so whatever you already use to track your movement keeps working. There's nothing to start, stop, or remember. Your steps sync on their own, and if you take a walk with your phone in your pocket, it counts. Open the app to see where you stand. Your daily and total step counts are front and center, along with your streak and your pace against the rest of the field. The live leaderboard updates throughout the challenge, so you always know whether that evening walk moved you up a spot. You choose the display name you compete under, and you can hide from the public board at any time if you'd rather keep your numbers to yourself. Steps count three ways. You're competing as an individual, but your steps also roll up to your company and to your NARPM chapter. That means one walk feeds your own rank, your office's total, and your chapter's standing at the same time, and it turns a solo habit into something your whole team is in on. Watch your company climb, talk trash in the group chat, and see which chapter is quietly out-walking everyone. It ends in Vegas. The challenge wraps at the NARPM Annual Convention at Mandalay Bay, October 13–15, where we'll run a 5K together and hand out prizes to the top stepper, the top company, and the top chapter.
