Switching between web play and phone is amazing. Listen to it almost every day.
Cant scroll
Cant scroll when looking at a podcast I am not subscribed to
Ads mid sentence
There are obvious pauses in podcasts for ads to be inserted yet on this app, the ads are played mid sentence, so annoying
Great podcast app
Have been using this app for years and love it. Great UI, love that I can start a podcast on a walk and finish it in the car and even if I’m different devices, it syncs automatically to pick up right where you left off. I highly recommend it.
Randomly Archives Episodes
Occasionally, tons of episodes from various series I’m subscribed to will get archived (while still marked as unplayed). I feel like this has something to do with the shows updating their RSS feeds. It’s really annoying that Pocket Casts hasn’t figured out a way to deal with show updates that doesn’t mess with episode status on the user’s side.

New design is bad
Update: In addition to everything below that STILL hasn’t been fixed, CarPlay is basically unusable with this app now. Something new breaks almost daily. Has this app been abandoned?!
The new design is not great, especially the insanely microscopic Now Playing bar. Please give an option to revert to a version that is usable.
The only thing worse than the UI changes is how buggy the CarPlay app is now. As a developer I have no idea how bugs this bad weren’t caught in testing. Was this not tested at all?! Play randomly starts and stops, tapping a podcast in a queue sometimes starts it playing like it used to and sometimes just opens it in Now Playing without starting it. The whole thing is wildly inconsistent and buggy.

Unbelievably good
I got fed up with Spotify not marking episodes as watched to I searched for a new app and found this. I cant even believe how many great features there are, ones I never even thought of. I never write reviews but this app is just that good
Almost what I want
I love the “Up Next” automatic playlist features. This is the only app I’ve found that comes close to what I’ve been looking for. However, it keeps removing episodes I add manually which is really frustrating.
no way to clear cache
i have no audio files downloaded and yet this 98 MB app is taking up 1 GB of space on my phone. it needs an option to wipe the cache in the “Documents & Data” without having to delete and reinstall the app.
UI/UX Sucks, and Automattic, hell no.
This must be somebody's first app UI development effort, it's stupidly circular with multiple redundant screens to play audio, just overly complex. And it is from the litigious out of control Mullenweg at Automattic, so not giving them any of my money.
Great app!
I already love this app even after a week. Everything makes sense. Being able to search for podcasts / keywords within a show is a game changer
UX, stability get worse with each release
App has been crashing a lot lately, especially on the "Up next" screens (why do we need two? w/different interfaces?). Control buttons, (esp FF, BT, playlist) fly around to new places. Much better off leaving old versions alone if you're not going to improve things (adjustable skip lengths!)
Love the energy and info!
This podcast is one of the best ways to stay up on the Cardinal system. I don’t think there’s any other media outlet that covers prospects in such depth. 10 out of 10 would recommend just for Kyle‘s dogs.
Keeps getting worse
App keeps getting worse. First podcasts would randomly stop, now they don’t download at all or update with new episodes and discover no longer works. Every update is worse than the last.
A really great product
It does what I need it to, consistently, and has just the flexibility I want from a podcast player.
A bad podcast app
This app use to great and now every month they add stuff to is and it breaks it. Download any other podcast app.
Episodes not available on time
What’s the point of having a daily morning podcast if it’s not available until 60 minutes later than other apps?

Sanity saving
Apple’s podcast app was driving me to tears. Overcast was too complicated for my tiny brain. Thanks pocketcasts for making an app for people like me that just want things to work
No Sort Capability in Search Results
App has no ability to sort episode search results by date which has been requested for 2 years. I don't want to scroll dozens and dozens of results trying to find more recent results.
