What's New in PocketBrainBook for Police

PocketBrainBook for Police

August 25, 2026

NEW - INFORMATION YOU NEED IN THE FIELD EVERYDAY • Broadcasts — radio scripts for pursuits, wanted persons, missing persons, plate and VIN checks, containment and coordination, with a fill-in crime broadcast. • 10-Codes — the classic APCO list, searchable. • Phonetics — APCO and NATO alphabets. • Incident Worksheet — field capture built on the data elements agencies actually report. • Recruit Center — write your own flashcards and quiz yourself, and log physical ability tests to track progress over time. • Voice search — speak a section number or offense instead of typing, on every screen with a search box. • Home and Favorites buttons on every screen, so you never have to back out one level at a time. • Full Codes for 56 "State level" jurisdictions with tappable source links. IMPROVED • City and county codes rebuilt from the publishers' own text for major cities, replacing placeholder entries. • Expanded state and county reference sections. • Notebook forms keep an unsaved draft if you are interrupted — taking a photo, a call, anything that closes the app — and offer it back next time. • Search understands common shorthand, so DUI, GTA, CCW and similar find the right sections. FIXED • Photos attached to notebook entries and reports are now stored permanently and survive app updates, and adding one nolonger risks losing what you typed. • Saved entries and favorites are recovered automatically after an app update. • Choosing and changing your jurisdiction now works properly, including the city list on a new install. • Every screen is readable in light mode. • The K-9 Report and My Notebook tiles open your saved list instead of a blank form.

User reviews

If it’s not broken, why fix it

Updated layout was not needed

No customer service

I paid for the app and I still couldn’t access the features in the app. I attempted to contact the creator and never got a response.

Not worth to download

Still have to pay more once you already purchased the App to have access to entire App! Doesn’t make sense!! Waste of money!

No update in years

There hasn’t been an update to this app in 5 years. Kind of skeptical of paying 3.99 a year with no update to the app in five years.

App appears to be abandoned

Whatever you do, do not purchase a subscription for any of the pocketbrain books made by this developer. He’s still pulling down subscriptions and hadn’t updated or changed a single thing on any of the apps in over 4 years. Stay away! The information on the apps are extremely out of date.
