Unskippable ads
Been using it for 4 years and the summer 2026 updated added more ads that cannot be closed to skipped. Have to close and reopened the app. Feels broken and will be uninstalling.

Podcast has changed my morning routine instead of music I listen to real life goings on.and podcasters are amazing at what they do.thank you for all your hard work keep it up

Latest update removed function
I’ve been using this app for a long time and like to save lots of podcasts to listen offline. The last update removed the ability to quickly scroll to the bottom newest of your downloaded podcasts. It takes forever to scroll down now and you can’t sort by oldest or newest either
Podcast app
Frank Skinner on the radio is really great, but adverts that can’t be cleared spoil the experience sadly. No one ever buys something from annoying adverts … companies buying adverts are counter productive to sales, as forcing ensures I’d never buy their product, as their advert annoyed my entertainment experience

Ads make it unusable
Ads make it basically unusable. They take up the entire screen, you can’t ex them out, they play long videos and crash the app frequently

Can’t open since update
Have had this app for years and every now and then there is a problem with app opening but this time it has gone on for days and I can’t contact app support because it just sits on blue screen app not opening. My only way to get help is hope you app peeps read this. Btw yes my iPhone is up to date and yes plenty of memory available.

Glitchy sometimes. Crashes if playing during download. Sometimes daily podcasts show up a day out more late. Gets me what I want though.
Trouble opening new episodes
I’ve had several times that the new episodes of my podcasts wouldn’t download. Had to wait several days before I could get them.
When it works, great, but…
While it has a paid tier (but why would someone spend nearly $40 to get it?) it has ad’s, which most you need to close the app to be able to use the app again as you can’t close the ad’s. The other downside to this app is often enough the feeds stop updating so you need to go elsewhere to listen to recent show. So if you’re looking for a good podcast app, keep looking, this isn’t a good one.

Used to be good.
This used to be one of the best free podcast apps. Now the ads have become constant and aggressive and require multiple clicks to get through. Glitches all the time now. Switched to Podurama and very happy about it.

Insane ads
I dont mind ads being shoved down my throat to an extent but full screen with no way to exit out even after an extended period of time is actually disgusting. Shame because its a lot easier to use than the apple podcast app but not worth the price
Started long ads!
I had been happily using this app for over a year. Just lately they have started long ads that block the sound. Looking for a different app to use.

I love Nightfalls. With Geoff’s calm, warm voice and delightful descriptive scenes, it feels like the same comfort I got from my parents reading me bedtime stories when I was little. Makes me feel safe and alls right with the world.
