Podcast Aufnehmen is a podcast recorder, voice memo and dictation app for iPhone. Record episodes in uncompressed 48 kHz audio — crash-proof, no time limits. A voice recorder and dictation app built for podcasters: choose your microphone, record, invite guests via link, edit, and export as M4A (AAC) or WAV — all on iPhone. CRASH-PROOF RECORDING Uncompressed 48 kHz recording. Audio is written to storage every ten seconds — nothing is lost even if the app crashes or iPhone restarts. Pause and resume anytime. Drop markers while recording. Recording continues in the background, in other apps, and on the lock screen. An incoming call does not stop the recording — it pauses and resumes automatically. MICROPHONE AND LEVELS Choose your microphone freely: iPhone's built-in mic, wired headphones, USB audio interface, or Bluetooth. A warning appears when Bluetooth is selected due to 16 kHz limitation. Live level meter with alerts when audio is too quiet or too loud. Control recording from the lock screen, Dynamic Island, home screen widget, and Siri shortcuts for start, pause, and stop. REMOTE INTERVIEW WITH A GUEST Invite your guest via link — no app installation required, they join directly from their browser. You hear each other live during recording, no Zoom or phone call needed. Each side records locally on their own device; the tracks are merged on the server afterward. An unstable connection does not affect audio quality. Both voices are automatically balanced in volume. If the connection drops, the app reconnects automatically — or tap reconnect manually. If your guest loses internet entirely, their recording is recovered and imported. EDITING ON iPHONE Waveform editor with zoom, select a range and delete, cut in the middle without splitting the episode. Reorder segments, listen to each individually, remove them. Extract a clip from one episode and move it to another. Unlimited undo and redo, one tap to restore the original. Markers, playback speed from 0.5× to 2×. Append a new recording to the end and keep going. Add intro and outro from the built-in sound library. Noise reduction and automatic level adjustment. SERIES AND EXPORT Organize episodes under shows with automatic episode numbering. Export via the share sheet to any app — high quality and WAV available. Export runs in the background; a notification confirms when it is done. ICLOUD BACKUP AND PRIVACY Optional cloud backup to your own iCloud storage. Sign in with your Apple ID to enable cloud backup — without signing in, no cloud backup is created and recordings stay on your device only. The app works fully without an account. Your audio never reaches our servers. After reinstalling or switching to a new iPhone, your episodes and audio return — only if cloud backup was active. Backup can be turned off at any time.
