Almost perfect, but...

Probably the best Esperanto keyboard app available right now. There are two issues I have with it, though.

Firstly, the fact that it in currently impossible (as far as I'm aware) to disable the clicking sound that plays when you press a key. Out of the two issues, this one's the bigger one, as it can make using the keyboard in public spaces a bit uncomfortable.

Secondly, there's no way to type the letters Q, W, X or Y. Of course, these letters do not appear in Esperanto, but oftentimes Esperanto text will include an unadapted borrowing of a Latin-script name which includes these letters. (e.g. From Vikipedio, "Washington establis multajn formojn de regado ankoraŭ uzataj nuntempe, kiel la kabineta sistemo kaj la inaŭgura diskurso.")

Currently, when using this keyboard, you have to switch to a different layout whenever you want to type one of these characters, which is obviously less than ideal.

Perhaps they could be accessed from the same star key as the diacritic letters? With, for example, the letters being placed on V, B, N, and M due to those keys being adjacent, or Q being on O, W being on V, X being on K, and Y being on I for their visual similarities. They could also be placed onto one of either the number or symbol layer.

And finally, because I guess I'm already listing a bunch of others issues, it's a bit annoying only being able to type the specific opening and closing quotation marks, and only being able to access them through the algorithm that choose which one to use, at that. It'd be nice to be able to access straight quotes and to be able to manually choose which side quotes to use. Perhaps by holding the key, as in the official iOS keyboard layouts?

Anyways, that looks like a lot of complaining, but this app really is good. Way better than the alternatives! Just thought I'd give my feedback here in case of the slim chance of it being seen.

Great keyboard!

I would give this 5 stars if I could turn off the clicking sounds when I type. I tried to turn off the sounds in iOS keyboard settings, but it still makes sounds. If the developer can tell me the trick on turning off the sounds, I will upgrade my review to 5 stars. :)

The best

One of the best EO keyboard you can get

I love it

4.5 rounded up, the only thing I would like added is autocorrect because I’m bad at typing

Great! But one thing

This is exactly what I was looking for. It took a minute to understand to use the star button to use the accents. But that’s not the issue. The issue is that the keyboard works everywhere…. Except for Facebook. I fire some reason can’t get it to work in Facebook which is where I would be chatting with the Esperanto group I’m in. Any insight on this would be great!
