User reviews

The only rewards app that actually does honest math.

"Every other balance tracker treats points like cash sitting in a high-yield savings account. They aren't. Points Compass is the first tool I've seen that prices devaluation and tells you when paying cash is actually the smarter move.
Used the burn order feature to decide my Chase Card program for my first Europe trip. Paid for an entire year of Pro in one booking decision.

Response from developer

Thank you for this — this is exactly why Points Compass exists. Points aren't cash, and the moment you start pricing devaluation, the whole 'best redemption' question changes. Glad the burn order helped you lock in your Chase Card program for Europe, and that one booking covered the year. That's the win we build for. Safe travels, and fair winds!

Helpful

Great place to keep track of all those travel points. Made me focus on finding all the ones I have in various places!

Refreshingly honest — and zero logins required.

I refuse to give all these companies my banking credentials, so most rewards apps are non-starters for me. Points Compass doesn't ask for any of that. You plug in your numbers, test your trip assumptions, and get a verdict. As simple as that.

Response from developer

Thank you! You put it better than we could. Happy travels, and fair winds!

Finally stopped hoarding and booked the flight

I’ve been sitting on nearly 400k in AMEX and Chase points for two years, telling myself I was waiting for the perfect redemption. Plugged in our Tokyo trip and saw in black and white that waiting another six months was going to cost an estimated $600 plus inflation and all that, so I pulled the trigger. I did have to plug every detail in myself but I guess that’s better than waiting for bank authentications and syncing my bank information all over the place.

Response from developer

Thank you, and congrats on Tokyo! Seeing the real cost of waiting is exactly what Points Compass is built for. Points lose value while they sit, and 400k is a lot to let slide. You're right about manual entry: it's a deliberate choice. We never ask for bank logins or account linking, so your financial data stays yours. Enjoy the trip, and fair winds!

Points Compass

A nice app for consolidating your points from different programs and apply to your trips. Great saving and budgeting tool.
