awesome

I love this app! it’s a fun way to track sleep and enjoy some pokemon. I appreciate how active the developers are, there’s lots of special events that make the game more exciting from time to time, and bug fixes pop up a lot (often when i didn’t even notice the mentioned bug being fixed)

I love how the progress in this app takes time, it makes the objective truly to get better sleep rather than to speed through stats. that being said, it’s such a joy to see your pokemon get stronger and better, it’s especially fun to evolve then after a lot of hard work.

Too much rng

A lot of the games features relies on too much rng to get a good team up and running and even the rng behind eureka seeds is silly like let me roll and once I get a new skill , let it be available on a list for me to select again if I get another seed instead of it being rng. Yeah also p2w and good camp tickets really make it pointless if f2p players have to work a lot harder to get to the same point.

Tracking Sleep removed from the server maintenance screen

The latest Update Removed the option to begin tracking sleep during server maintenance. Please put it back. The website states: “You can still track your sleep during maintenance.” That is dishonest so I’m leaving a 1 star until it’s fixed.

Fraudulent When It Comes to Missions & Rewards—Reporting To Apple

They will NOT give you the monthly reward if you complete all the steps. I did all the steps required to get a Mew in the app for the most recent mission—all of a sudden it glitches out, and when i go back into the app it said I took 8 out of 10 snapshots when I know for a fact I took 10. When I contacted Pokemon about it, the automated message I get back says they don’t take those types of requests. There’s no other way to contact them. I’M CURRENTLY REPORTING THIS APP TO APPLE FOR SCAM & FRAUD

*UPDATE* Pokemon have flat out REFUSED to honor the request. They basically said “Sucks to be you.” This app is a fraud, a scam, has been reported to Apple & the BBB. they will NOT give you the reward, and they will refuse to listen to you. They are power hungry. Even when I sent them evidence, they refused. I’m looking into research if I can escalate this much MUCH further.

I had high expectations when I clicked to download the app

The tutorial is simply too slow and long, and the tracking definitely doesn't work as it should. It’s an app meant to help with sleep, but it ends up causing stress every morning and wasting a lot of your day. Ultimately, it’s disappointing.

Okay, but frustrating

It’s an okay game, but at times can be frustrating. For example, you can select a dish to make, and then get yourself so focused on adding ingredients that you don’t realize that the dish you’re building has changed to another dish, and then the points you wanted to add go to another dish, or the strength of dish you wanted is considerably weaker because the dish changed on you.

I think that once you select a recipe, the dish shouldn’t change at all, or that you should get a notice stating your dish changed to something other than what you chose.

Pop-ups

I want to enjoy it I really do. But for the love of god why is there so many pop ups. I can’t play for 5 seconds without being attacked by pop up. Feels like I’m on a website to watch sports or movies with the amount of pop ups.

Changes Needed

Apple, Garmin, Fit Bit all provide sleep data. The app should just read and write health data rather than recording my audio and requiring my screen to be on all night.

⭐ 1 Star — Pokémon Sleep Could Be So Much Better

I really wanted to enjoy Pokémon Sleep, especially as a longtime Pokémon GO player, but right now I find the game boring and unnecessarily complicated. Too much of the gameplay revolves around managing Snorlax, collecting ingredients, and worrying about breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It feels more like a chore than something that makes me excited to go to sleep.

I think Pokémon Sleep could be amazing if it had much deeper integration with Pokémon GO.

Imagine going to sleep and having your sleep determine what Pokémon you encounter. The better and more consistent your sleep, the better your chances of discovering rarer Pokémon. When you wake up, the game could give you three Pokémon to choose from, and you could pick one to keep or transfer to Pokémon GO.

After completing seven nights of healthy sleep goals, you could even unlock a chance of encountering a Legendary Pokémon.

I would also love the ability to use my Pokémon GO Buddy in Pokémon Sleep instead of always building the experience around Snorlax. You could adventure with your Buddy during the day in Pokémon GO and then have that same Pokémon sleep alongside you at night.

There could even be special rewards, Buddy Hearts, Candy, ribbons, or other bonuses that carry between the two games.

Pokémon Sleep already supports devices such as Pokémon GO Plus + and smartwatches. Take advantage of that connection and make Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep feel like one continuous adventure:

Play Pokémon GO during the day. Sleep and discover Pokémon at night. Wake up, choose your Pokémon, and continue your adventure in Pokémon GO.

I love the idea behind Pokémon Sleep. I just don’t enjoy the current gameplay loop. Give Pokémon GO players a meaningful connection between the two games and I would gladly come back and change this to five stars.

Too bright at night

This game is too bright, even with my phone screen brightness turned all the way down. It really needs a dark mode.

Quitting after 1100+ day streak

Game was fun at the beginning and got a large number of shiny pokemon, but after some update it became harder to find any shiny. The shiny pokemon made it worth going to sleep early and I was getting multiple in a month, but now I never see them and don’t care to track my sleep anymore after 1100+ days. The events and release of pokemon is good, but the reward of never seeing a shiny is bogus. Not sure why it was changed. Ggs

A Pokémon request

Could the next legendaries be the Regis, I would love to see them in this game.

Cute n cozy but you need to have money

Been playing this game for a while now and it’s draining my bank account. Please make it cheaper or easier to get biscuits. It’s not fair- I can’t capture Pokemons due to not having enough biscuits or them getting full instantly.

8 minutes of achievements every time you want to use it

The title. Infuriating

Dear Niantic…You broke the Sleep Feature

I love my Pokémon Plus + ball for tracking sleep. And up until tracking feature changed from the ball to my phone, I was using it every night to track my sleep and feed my Snorlax.

Why did moving it to the phone break the feature?! Because now I can no longer listen to my Audible books to go to sleep while at the same time putting Pokémon Sleep into sleep tracking mode. Since the tracker is on the phone, when I enable tracking it stops the Audible playback that was playing in the background (with a sleep timer). When it was on the ball, I could push the button, Pikachu would sing his lullaby and start tracking. All while being completely separate from Audible playback on my phone.

I’ve used other sleep trackers on my phone in the past that allowed Audible or Spotify to play in the background. So, it’s possible.

Please fix this feature so that I can listen to my Audible books to go to sleep, like I have every night for over a decade, AND use Pokémon Sleep to track my sleep, preferably back on the physical Plus + ball, but if not, then fixed on the phone app.

Team Switching Error

I am so tired of getting a confirmation message that I changed teams then coming back and seeing the team didn’t actually switch. Don’t give a confirmation message if it didn’t happen. When I swap a team, I should be able to close the app immediately afterward and not have to worry.
