Money.

You know i was really excited to use this app, i was aware i was gonna have to be put on a subscription which is fine, but $20? that’s more than Netflix and Youtube Premium. Unfortunately Im only 21 and need to pay rent and other bills. Would have been fun though if it was 4.99-7.99 a month.

Best way to train

I’ve been looking for an app or study guide to help me with my poker game and this app has been very insightful with tips on how to move

Subscription Required

Seriously… stop this nonsense. It should be clearly and unambiguously stated that there’s no way to use any of the features on this app without a subscription, $24 a month is also an insane price I have enough subscriptions already that’s way too expensive

Worst app

I wasted 10$ on a app that is literally garbage don’t waste your time or money

No free option

Most apps like this will give you a free option that limits the amount you can practice in one day, and I was fully expecting this app to be the same. To my surprise this app is not like that, instead there is no free option, and the app does not allow you to play a hand before they ask for a subscription. I hope this helps everyone understand what is going to happen before they buy.

Wow

Whoever wants to become better at poker, this is a great app for it!

Response from developer

Thanks so much Eddie! Glad you’re enjoying the app!

It works

I have been using this app to learn how to effectively play poker, it made my pre flop game so much easier. I played in my first tournament last week and cashed out $9000, hopefully I do better the next one

Response from developer

Thanks for using Flop Factor and glad you’re seeing results!

Disappointed

I’m not sure why, but I thought there’d be live game play. Kinda boring in this context.

Response from developer

Flop Factor is designed as a fast daily preflop decision trainer for cash games & tournaments. Quick fold/call/raise drills in 3–5 minutes, not live multiplayer game simulation.

Taking advantage of gamblers

Pay $20 for an app that isn’t even finish?! I’d say this app is a flop!! Made me want to turn my phone off and throw it in a river!

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. A major update is dropping soon with preflop charts, progress tracking, and deeper explanations. We're building fast and the app keeps getting better. Appreciate you trying it out.

Another AI slop clone

They want your $$$$ as saas before a hand is dealt hahahhahaha. Good luck making your money back on this garbo devs 😂
Edit: I make not be a poker pro but I’m not an idiot, your app as-is will fail. The splash page literally references AI. The UI, logo etc are clearly AI generated. You didn’t invent the charts, you don’t own them and they are static. This app is neither the best, different, the first and surely not the cheapest. Look at al everything else you can get for $20 and compare it to the “value” your app offers - it’s laughable dude. Good luck.

I appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback. Flop Factor was built by a former professional poker player (me) not generated by AI. Every range and drill is based on real poker strategy.

No trail but expect payment

Reviews are not that great and cannot trial run the app, but expecting a payment. No go for me.

Response from developer

I understand wanting to try before you buy. We're a small team and the paywall helps us keep building. That said, we're actively working on giving new users a better preview of what's inside before subscribing. Appreciate the honest feedback

Looks professional

Like the style of the app. High quality mobile trainer for poker recs

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We put a lot of time into the design and style for Flop Factor!

Good tool.

One of the best phone poker trainers out right now

Free Trail

They want you to pay for it before even giving value to the app, the only information you have about the app is the reviews which are NOT the best. so i’m not going to pay for a sub to a mid app

Response from developer

I hear you. We know asking for payment upfront is a big ask, which is why we're focused on making the app worth every dollar. We're shipping a major update soon with preflop charts, progress tracking, and deeper explanations. If you do decide to give it a shot, I think you'd see the value quickly but I respect the hesitation.

Simulation Sound

It drives me crazy that there is not a setting where I can turn off the sound features. If I’m listening to my own music, every time there’s action around the orbit it pauses my music to play game sounds. It’s distracting. Please allow for the option to turn this off. It’s incredibly frustrating to run drills but be unable to listen to music on my phone at the same time.

Response from developer

We will be including an option to disable simulation sounds in an upcoming update so you can run drills while listening to your own audio. Appreciate you pointing this out and helping us improve the app.

Way too expensive, especially since it’s an AI trainer

That pretty much sums it up. $19.99 a month is insanity

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to try the app. Goal is to provide a practical training tool players can use regularly to improve their preflop decision-making. We’re continuing to add more features, scenarios, and deeper explanations to increase the value over time. Your feedback is helpful as we keep improving the product.

Very one dimensional

This app does help you learn the basics of preflop poker, but it’s a hard stop there. You just drill 10 hands at a time and it doesn’t even always explain why you were wrong in your choice of action. There’s no other supplemental learning either. Just fold, call, or raise over and over again with not much further knowledge to gain.

Response from developer

Thanks for the honest feedback. Right now the app focuses heavily on drilling preflop fundamentals through repetition, but we’re actively expanding the learning experience with more explanations, scenarios, and deeper analysis features. Updates are already in progress, and feedback like yours helps guide what we build next.

Lack of insight

Played 20 hands. Only once did it offer insight as to the right play and why.

Response from developer

Thanks for the honest feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to try the app. Right now, explanations are shown for single-raised pot scenarios and for spots where there’s real strategic decision-making involved. We don’t currently show explanations for very clear folds (like 7-2 offsuit), since those are more straightforward fundamentals. We’re actively expanding the explanation feature, and 3-bet scenarios (and more advanced breakdowns) are coming very soon.

Good but…

Would like to know why my selection was an incorrect play….

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We're actively working on adding explanations for all scenarios. Right now, we have custom explanations for single raised pots at 100bb, but we're expanding coverage to include more situations like 3-bet pots, shorter stacks, and different positions. We appreciate your patience as we build this out
