Limited chip availability
Good concept, but Competition Mode can become unusable
I initially really enjoyed PokerBrain AI and Competition Mode, but there is a major problem with the chip system. If your balance falls below 5,000 chips, you can no longer enter even the lowest Competition table, and there appears to be no way to replenish your chips. The app shows options to get additional chips, but every option I’ve tried says “Unavailable at this time.” This is especially frustrating in a paid app because a major part of the experience essentially becomes inaccessible.
I also had the app disconnect/kick me from a Competition table twice. One time I had 20,000 chips committed and another time 5,000 chips. I was removed before I could even play the hand, and the chips were not returned to my balance.
Making matters worse, I have been unable to find a practical way to contact customer service from the app to resolve the missing chips or Competition Mode lockout.
I also noticed increasingly long stretches without playable hands as I progressed through Competition Mode, enough that I started tracking them myself. I can’t say whether that’s variance or how the simulation is designed, but it made the higher levels feel increasingly unrealistic.
The training concept is good, but there needs to be a reliable way to replenish Competition chips, automatic refunds after disconnects, and accessible customer support. Until those issues are addressed, I can’t recommend paying for the app if Competition Mode is an important reason you’re subscribing

Works Great
Grok recommended this app when I asked if there was a poker game I could play and learn at the same time and it works as advertised! Enjoying it so far.
Best poker app
There are so many poker apps on here. But this is definitely the best one, because it’s so freaking addicting.
