I’m so happy to see that I am not the only one who is completely infuriated with the new update. Why would you completely change an entire app so that even experienced users are dumbfounded. I can’t for the life af me figure out the set up for the new way that overlays work, I cant even seem to apply an image in the style of a gradient like was able to do before. From 5 stars to 1,if could I’d give it none. You were a top rated app, why would you make such a move, that was dumber than dumb, at least have the courtesy to roll it out slowly. Not all at once. I had not known how much more useful this app was over my previous go to until the last few months. But once I really played around with it, it soon became my newest go to. I wish I had never updated. Also why is there not an easier way to delete my custom overlays, y’all didn’t bother to reconcile that situation. Who ever made this decision should be fired, or given a second chance to fix this mess that now takes up room on my phone. If something is not done soon, I will be requesting an entire refund 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ this is not the app I paid for. Idk what this is.
The app doesn’t work super great at least not for me. I have it on the iPad and iPhone, it gets stuck sometimes, removes effects and changes from other editing apps at times, the brush tool still isn’t back. It’s a bit bulky. It goes up to a 3.5 from the 1 after the change since some things were reintroduced. But yeah

Probably one of the best
It's changed so much since I first started using Polarr. I was one of the originals and it was okay. Since then, it has blown by the competition for mobile editing, in my opinion.

S tier photo editing app! Forget about a stupid paywall this app is perfect for those who hate paying for editing apps but still want aesthetic photos
Free version is a scam
After watching an ad it just gets stuck on that page and won’t let you click out to save the picture.
Excessive Ads
They require you to watch a 30 second ad every single time you download a photo. Also, the simplest photo editing tools are locked behind a paywall, such as the sharpening tool. It’s overkill. The only reason I use the app is to apply community filters I find on Pinterest, which is free. Greedy devs, as always.

Polarr used to be my go-to filter & editor app, i’ve been using it since probably 2016-2017. i understand that times are changing and technology improves at unbelievable speeds, so things like apps need to adapt to that… however, it’s pretty disappointing to see what was once my holy grail turn into something that is basically unusable unless you pay for almost every little thing, even what used to be the core features that felt like it prioritized its users/community compared to other filter/editor platforms… that was Polarr’s edge from the apps that were basically cash grabs, but now it’s no different.

Ad scam
They’ll help you edit a photo but then trick you into a never ending advert, you’ll never get the photo you worked on I promise you. They’re a complete scam and the games they’re advertising are all terrible. Use another app honestly. Wish I could give 0 stars

Ima just keep using the free modded version I have on my android lol annoying ads, and can’t access half the app when most of its features were still free just 2 years ago. Polarr is cooked
