Not good

Not that good because when I try to listen to a radio it keeps asking me if I want to get premium and I can’t listen to anything without it

Nothing free yet running ads?

I would gladly watch ads for more time to use the app free of charge. 3.99 a week? Pretty high for an app that’s not firmly established. It’s a great app but if you have advertising on the app, this should equate to free user time. Plenty of other apps do this successfully.

Question

How do I know if these are real live police radios?

Download another app.

Used this app for a few weeks. Worked nicely. Updated it & it will no longer allow me to listen to the station that I have been without buying it.
It is asking me to make a purchase of $3.99/week which is absolutely insane considering I can just delete this app & go download one that’s free.

You guys are using the same software that every police scanner app is using. You are accessing public feeds and asking for a weekly payment of 3.99. Running ads on the app would do perfectly fine in terms of revenue.

I just see no reason to pay for a weekly subscription when I can go download a different app for free (that offers the same exact services)
There are even some apps that donate proceeds to groups in need.
Good app overall while I could use it.
My main complaint is that $3.99/weekly is wayyy too expensive for what this app is offering.

Response from developer

Dear bradamoz, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our app. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the subscription model. Our team is continuously working to strike a balance between generating the necessary revenue to maintain our system and providing value to our users. We’re excited to let you know that we are in the process of developing a more equitable system that will allow free access to a portion of our content. This upcoming update is a direct result of valuable user input like yours and our commitment to improving the user experience. While we do use public feeds, the costs associated with delivering a high-quality, ad-free experience are substantial. That said, we're exploring various options, including an ad-supported tier, to provide a free alternative for our users. Your suggestion regarding donations to groups in need is inspiring, and it's something we're considering as part of our commitment to community service. We hope you'll bear with us as we work on these improvements. In the meantime, please reach out to our customer support if you have any further concerns or if there's anything we can do to help. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we'd love the opportunity to restore your confidence in our service. Warm regards, The Police Radio Team

Subscription to use any station is ridiculous

Hi,

I’m a fire buff for all fire departments in Southeast New York and a New York State Certified Mechanic and I have to say that using this app is better than the 5-0 radio but trying to stop people from immediately using the scanner frequency they’re trying to get into to offer a subscription is just ridiculous I think it’s a waste of time trying to get into the scanner frequency when all you can do is get hammered with a subscription that you must pay before using the scanner frequencies you desire.

Please fix this issue it’s not worth wasting my time and money on a subscription I have to pay every single week just to hear the FDNY radio scanner or the NYS Thruway Authority radio scanner.

If you were to offer a subscription please do it reasonable things and make the subscription monthly or annually not weekly and don’t stop us from using our desired radio frequencies to hear what’s going on in the area like the New York City Fire Department’s assignments or the New York State Thruway Authority’s assignments.

Thanks,
Shane
