User reviews

Performance and value

I downloaded and tried 5 different apps for Alpaca and this is the only one I am keeping. Very easy to use. I got good value from the free version and after a while got the Pro. It’s worth it

Response from developer

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We’re glad the app felt easy to use and worth keeping. We build Aplaca Trader Pro to give people useful tools without unnecessary friction, so it means a lot to hear that both the free version and Pro delivered value.

I don’t know if I should trust this app

How am I supposed to know that this app is trustworthy with my alpaca keys?

Response from developer

Thank you for raising this. Trust is the right question to ask when an app connects to a brokerage account. The app is designed so your Alpaca keys stay on your device. They are securely stored in the iOS Keychain, which encrypts data on device. They are not stored on our servers, and we do not have access to them. Your keys are only used from your device to connect to Alpaca over HTTPS. You can also revoke or rotate them anytime from your Alpaca account. We built it this way from the beginning because we believe users should stay in control of their own credentials.

LOVE this app. Works like a charm.

No issue with API keys here….

Btw there is no real Alpaca iOS app to rely on anymore. And this is so much better than the original Alpaca app.

I can chart, place orders, track positions, and see fee/interest impact in one place without having to open my laptop and log into the web console. Cost visibility is a huge win: no more guessing what monthly interest or trade costs are doing to my returns.

Great for retail traders!

Response from developer

Thanks for the review. We’re an independent app maker, so reviews like this really matter. Glad the app makes Alpaca easier to use from your phone. We're also open to any ideas or feature requests. You can share them with us at: features@entropyflux.com.

Doesn’t work

I have all of the correct API credentials uploaded. I’ve tried all of their support information. Still just comes up with errors and doesn’t work.

Response from developer

The app can only connect when the Alpaca API key and secret are valid, active, and entered in the correct fields. Copied keys can easily fail if they are incomplete, expired, or include extra spaces. Keep in mind that your login is not the same as API credentials and will not work as such. Please use the in-app “Open Guided Setup” button, which generates and inserts the correct Alpaca credentials automatically. For setup help, contact pacasupport@entropyflux.com.

Nice!

Exactly what I needed. I trade on Alpaca and hate checking everything through the browser.. let alone on my phone. This just app works. lClean UI too.

Response from developer

Thanks, really appreciate that. The goal was to make checking Alpaca accounts fast and painless without having to fight the browser, especially on mobile. Glad the clean UI is working for you!
