Cannot play the sound even on Pro
There must be bug. Please fix it!

The option between European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese makes no difference at all its all Brazilian Portuguese I wanted European disappointed!!
Pronunciation not working on Pro Version 😣😣😖
Hi I just purchased the pro version and the pronunciation is NOT working on my iPhone8? That’s the whole reason why I’ve purchased the full version to improve my pronunciation!! Please can this be fixed ASAP?

Waste of money for me!!! I want a Portuguese ( Portugal ) translator.
Frustrating Interface
Trying to hit the tiny button to play a phrase drove me crazy. Deleted.
Handy!
Used this in Brazil on a recent trip. Fairly handy, although in many cases a direct translation tool would have been better.
Upgrades
The upgrades to the app are great! Love the new ability to hear text entered into the translator.
Needs work
For the life of me, I can't imagine why the authors of this app did not include gender in their word search/dictionary function. I gave this app two stars because the gender of a word is critical to know how to use it properly. It could have been a great app, but without that information, you just have to look up the gender elsewhere.

Good tool
Great app. I use it a lot while reading in Portuguese. It's quicker for me than a hard copy dictionary and it's helpful that how the pronunciation of a word. Some of the games are so-so but it's a good dictionary.
Excellent functionality, wide vocabulary
Very good dictionary with great features to help learn, sound out phonetically and get the context right. It's been such a help when teaching TEFL to African Portuguese speakers.
Transformed by progress!
I bought the 1st version of this app and was ready to erase it off my phone and write off the few dollars as it continually crashed and was extremely slow and poorly laid out.
Then . . just in time an update came along! I thought 'nothing to lose' updated, and it was soo much better, its like a different app!!
Now a few updates more, I have moved to Brasil and I love & depend on this dictionary!!

This is a great app my girlfriend is from brazil and I want to learn Portuguese
Bug report
One of the English phrases on the translation list, on the left, is: "a bad lot".
The translated phrase is correct: "grupo de marginais; pessoa má (Gíria)".
However, when touching the icon to listen to the voice (which is of Brazilian accent), the words spoken do not follow the words written. It adds words like "... ponto de exclamação invertido...", etc. These extra spoken words or characters do not even exist in the resulting translated phrase.
The proper and right speech may be attained by highlighting the entire translated phrase and select the "Speak..." option on the pop up menu, (providing the Portuguese voice is set on the iPhone or iPad).

Pronunciation
I enjoy the word of the day feature. It forces me to study Portuguese for a minute as soon as I log on. I also like the fact that you can bookmark words for future studying. Great app, well worth the extra bucks for the Pro version.

Excellent Portuguese Language Reference
~ First thank you to the developers! Great reference. Word of the day is a great feature, helps introduce new words to my vocabulary. :-) any chance you guys can develop a scrabble type game in Portuguese like words with friends? Please consider writing code so that where there is a word there is also a way to hear that word anywhere in the app. Example in the word of the day how about being able to hear the Portuguese pronunciation this will be a great upgrade. Hearing the correct pronunciation is very important to me in learning the language. Thanks again.
