The postcards you send won’t arrive right away. postin turns a photo and a message into a postcard you can send to someone special. Once posted, your card gradually makes its way to the recipient’s desk during postin’s delivery hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ■ CREATE AT YOUR DESK Once you’ve decided on the recipient and the stamp, you are free to create your postcard however you like. You can draw a picture by hand, attach a photo, or write a message; you can even include a single photo to be sent along with the postcard. Finally, place it in the clear case and drop it into the mail slot at the top. If the recipient is nearby, you can also send the postcard directly after mutually confirming the exchange. In this case, no stamp is used. ■ FROM POSTING TO DELIVERY After you post a card, it moves through three stages: “Collected,” “Processing,” and “Out for Delivery.” You can check where it is at any time. ■ RECEIVE A POSTCARD You’ll receive a notification when a card arrives. The notification only tells you who sent it. You won’t see what’s inside until you open the case. ■ WHO YOU CAN SEND TO Someone who has exchanged Postcard IDs and accepted you both ways. Someone nearby, handed over in person. Someone you haven’t met yet, found in the roster. ■ HAND IT TO SOMEONE NEARBY Even if they aren’t in your contacts, you can hand a postcard to someone nearby who has postin open and is waiting to receive one. Once you have handed it over, you are connected as contacts, and from then on you can post to them as well. Handing a postcard over does not use a stamp. ■ THE ROSTER Choose a correspondent from the roster, even without a Postcard ID. Listing yourself is optional. Looking is enough. A slow reply is fine. How often each person answers is written in the list. If it isn’t for you, hide or block. The other person isn’t told. To use the roster you must be 13 or older, and signed in with your Apple Account. ■ OTHER FEATURES ・Link your Apple Account to keep your received postcards when switching devices ・Delete your account directly from the app Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
