About

Pourwick is a candle-making calculator and workshop log for makers who sell. Get the exact wax, fragrance and dye for any vessel, cost every candle from what you actually paid, and keep your recipes, supplies, batches and burn tests in one place — with one purchase, no subscription. MEASURED RIGHT • Wax by container volume and fill level, or by the water-weight method • Uses the common 0.86 g/mL pour factor (0.90 for beeswax) — or enter your supplier's density, or calibrate it from one test pour • Fragrance load as % of wax or % of total, with a warning above each wax's typical maximum • Dye as % of wax, wicks per vessel, batch totals for any number of candles • Grams, ounces, pounds or kilograms; mL, fl oz or litres; °F or °C RECIPE LIBRARY • Unlimited saved recipes with search, duplicates and notes • Each recipe shows pour weight, cost per candle, suggested price and burn time • Share a full recipe card as text COST & PRICING • Wax, fragrance, dye, wicks, vessel, labels and packaging, plus your labor rate • Suggested price from your markup, gross margin and the price for a 60% margin • Link a recipe to your inventory and it is costed from your real average purchase prices INVENTORY • Track wax, oils, dye, wicks, vessels and packaging • Record each purchase; Pourwick keeps a weighted-average unit cost • Low-stock alerts and "your stock can make N candles" BATCH LOG • Log every pour with an automatic lot code, recipe snapshot, materials used and cost • Cure countdown shows which batches are curing and which are ready • Optionally deduct the batch from inventory — and put it back if you delete the log BURN-TEST LOG • Record wick, weights before and after, time to full melt pool, pool depth, flame height, soot, mushrooming, tunneling, hot throw and a pass/adjust/fail verdict • Pourwick turns your measured burn rate into a projected burn time for the recipe LABELS, EXPORTS & BACKUP • Printable PDF label sheets with net weight in oz and g, burn time, lot code and a candle safety warning • CSV exports of recipes, inventory, batches and burn tests • Full backup and restore as one file ALSO INCLUDED Scent blends across up to four oils, pour runs that split big orders into pitcher-sized lots, batch plans with QC checkpoints and cure dates, a wick-size starting guide by diameter, and illustrated guides with wax, fragrance and wick reference tables. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your data stays on your device. Pourwick is a planning aid. Densities, capacities and temperatures are typical values — follow your wax and fragrance technical data sheets and IFRA limits, and burn-test every new recipe. iPhone and iPad.

What's New in Pourwick

3.0

October 26, 2026

Pourwick 3.0 is a full workshop upgrade: • Recipe library with detail pages: cost per candle, stock check, burn tests and labels • Inventory with weighted-average purchase costs, low-stock alerts and "can make N candles" • Batch log with lot codes, cure countdowns and optional stock deduction • Burn-test log per recipe that becomes a measured burn time • Dye load, wicks per vessel, your own wax density or a test-pour calibration • Labor in pricing, price for a 60% margin • PDF label sheets, CSV exports, full backup and restore • New system tab bar, larger-text support and iPad layouts Fixes: wax weights now use the common 0.86 g/mL pour factor (0.90 beeswax), so wax weights are about 4–6% lower than before; money always shows cents; numbers over 999 no longer misread when edited; the old burn-test sandbox was replaced by a real burn-test log.
