Premium Membership Not Working

Paid for premium membership and the app wouldn’t update to reflect it, contacted the developer via the contact link in the app a number of times with no luck. The App is good but just not managed or supported. Requested a refund.

Lack of explanation for some questions

Overall a good app. But very disappointing that about 20 or so percent of the questions show explanation coming soon.

This could’ve been solved in two seconds with ChatGPT.

Great app and visually appealing

I’m currently undergoing PPL training and this app has helped me through the theory. The explanations are very helpful and the developers are clearly very passionate about improving the app. Nevertheless, the design of this app is modern and refreshing to see when compared to other apps.

🧨DANGER⚠️

The answers that are listed as valid are incorrect. Be careful, do not trust this application to study any content related to aviation.

No Explainations

There is no explanation to answers when you get them wrong so how can I improve? I would rather spend the money on pooleys questions books, as there questions are written exactly as they are in the exam. If this was not a problem then the app would be good.

Good for practice

Good amount of questions to practice however no explanations are available to understand why you were incorrect

Langue

Décevant car uniquement en anglais alors qu’elle est en français

Great Explanations

Navigation section has got some very helpful explanations to better understand the formula and steps involved.

Many mistakes in correct answers

I like the app, but the fact that all topics contain mistakes in correct answers is unbearable. It shouldn’t be difficult to maintain answers according to Air Pilot Manual books!

An essential app for PPLs

Used this for my PPL training and it's help was well worth the fee. I used it for all of my exams and passed all first time, after much practice using the mock exam feature. Absolutely the best tool for the UK CAA PPL exams.

Passed my Exams!

Questions and explanations are spot on, easy to use and motivated me to pass my exam first time!

Langues ?

Le descriptif de l’application indique qu’elle est disponible en plusieurs langues or elle est uniquement en anglais ! J’aurais aimer l’avoir également en français pour me permettre d’apprendre le vocabulaire que je ne connais pas.

Many issues

1. No longer up to date.
2. Misleading price tags (says £17, but charges £20)
3. Most questions have no explanations as advertised - all show up as “explanation coming soon”
4. Same banks available for free online and in AppStore

Not canadian

Based on the free questions, it does not appear to be Canadian. I do not recognize the questions, they ask about the UTC time at Bangkok airport and in the settings they suggest to buy additional exams for a cost in British pounds.

Is this site up to date now ?

Did they update this site? Or is the same ?

Misleading with incorrect answers

If I knew all of the answers to these questions, I wouldn’t have bought the app in the first place! I do however know the correct answers to most of the practice questions. One answer that I know for sure is the question about the transition level. According to this app, the transition height is 3,000 feet. That is WRONG! If you give that answer in your PPL exam, you will get the question wrong and that could be the difference between failing and passing. I emailed the publisher four days ago to make them aware of this error but I have had no response and the app still has the WRONG answer.

If one answer is known to be incorrect, it begs the question, how many of these questions and answers can be trusted and what is the point of buying this app!

The CORRECT ANSWER is that in the UK, the Transition Layer is published in AIP. Whilst in most places it is 3,000 feet, it does vary and it’s common in controlled airspace for the Transition layer to be 6,000 feet. In some places it’s 5,000 feet and in others it changes according to the time of day. THE SHORT ANSWER TO THE QUESTION OF TRANSITION LAYER HEIGHT IS:
It is published in the AIP

Some answers wrong and not many different

Bought the communications pack and the questions get repeated all the time. One questions asks how to say frequency 129.550 and the answer it says is “one two nine five five zero”, the Pooleys book has this exact practice question says the phraseology is “one two nine decimal five five zero”

Out of Date Question Set

The question set for the airlaw exam within the app are simply the questions that are in the Pooley’s Airlaw book. None of which actually appeared in the actual exam.

Out of date

Having taken all my PPL exams over the last few months, I’ve noticed the questions in this app are mostly out of date.

Some incorrect answers

Pressure altitude answered on question was incorrect. The app only provides the right answer - no explanation or guidance.
