About
Caffeine Tap helps you keep a daily caffeine log during pregnancy and breastfeeding. See today's total and how much is left before the daily guide you have chosen.
Start by choosing pregnant, breastfeeding, or neither. For pregnancy and breastfeeding, the app sets a guide for your region and shows the organization behind it. Guides vary by country and organization: EFSA uses 200 mg a day, while Health Canada uses 300 mg. You can change your guide. Choose neither to use your own daily guide.
Log a drink with one tap using presets, and adjust the caffeine amount for each of up to 12 presets. Record half a cup, one and a half cups, or two cups, set the time you drank it, and edit or undo an entry. Amounts are standard estimates and vary by product and brewing method.
Review your 7-day and 30-day averages, days above your guide, and your most logged drinks. Browse daily entries in the calendar.
Check today's intake with Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. The small Home Screen widget logs the drink at the top of your preset list. Use Siri and Shortcuts to log caffeine and check your day. Lock Screen widgets are for viewing only. With watchOS 26 or later, log 1 cup from Control Center, the Smart Stack, or the Action button on Apple Watch. No Watch app needed.
Turn on Apple Health in Settings to save the caffeine you log (mg) to Health. Sleep is read only to show two averages side by side: nights after days with late caffeine and other nights. The app does not judge how caffeine affects your sleep. Health data is handled on your device and is never sent anywhere.
No account. No ads. Your data stays on your device. The app does not calculate caffeine remaining in your body, predict sleep, or tell you how long to wait before breastfeeding.
This app is for recording caffeine and displaying reference amounts, not for diagnosis or treatment. If you have concerns, consult a doctor or midwife.
