Thank you so much for building such an amazing app! Your tutors that you include in this are extremely nice and they really encourage you to learn a language or skill.
I've had a great relationship with some of my tutors and especially my past French teacher Ella as a visually impaired child got me into every lesson and I was excited for every single lesson with her. However, I do have one suggestion. In the home tab, there is a section where you can have a look at past lessons. I think there should be a feature where you can look at the tasks that your teacher uploaded and you can revisit them for example if you were stuck on a specific subject then you can go back to that specific lesson and review the tasks or if you really enjoyed them then you can go back and review the tasks. As a visually impaired child, my teachers have helped me in all subjects (I've mostly been doing French on this app. I tried to do Spanish but the teacher did not reply). Thank you so much for this amazing creation.
And I’m just updating my review to give you more information about my teachers on this app. Firstly, thank you for your response And. I do have one question to ask about the application. First, I’m going to say that I don’t have Ella anymore. Unfortunately, she has left properly and is no longer teaching so she is now doing a PGCE course and I don’t know what that stands for. So my Spanish teacher is called SOL, she is very encouraging and she will help you a lot when learning Spanish. And what’s good about her is something that I really like about education, when she’ll make you repeat different words so that you memorise them. I absolutely love education and have a passion for French, music, trampoline, English lessons, maths lesson lessons and Spanish lesson lessons so I really do like education and find that it is really good for me. Now over to my friendship experience on PREPLY. First, I spent two years learning with my French Tutor Ella. She really helped me was learning the French language and then, my next teacher after Ella had unfortunately stop teaching and started her PGC course, was called Anzhela . I didn’t really get on with her as well as Ella just because not really going to say anything about it. I’ve rather not share that information. But now my French Tutor is called Eva and Eva is so kind and really helped me more in learning French and I’m excited for every lesson with Eva. I don’t do music on Preply and I don’t do trampoline because I’ll need my coach Adam to help me do different things and I can’t see Adam as I am visually impaired. So it’s better if he is physically there and for my music teacher, the sound would be so weird. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to respond to my review, And. I’m just giving you information about my tutors.

Great app but too aggressive subscription model
The app is great and very useful. Really a shame that they are so aggressive in forcing subscriptions and even refusing refunds if the teacher becomes unavailable or takes a vacation. They need to fix that.
Lack of schedule control
Why would you reply with an AI/bot generated reply. I said noone can book appointments within 12 hours, you have to book appointments past 12 hours. Why is preply controlling when tutors can and cannot book appointments past. This should be up to the tutor. Did you even read the review?!

Good but can’t do tutoring and learning in same account
All good but as a tutor I can not use my login or the same app to learn. You have to create separate accounts for a tutor and another account as a student. Quite inconvenient. Also the fact that Preply pays tutors absolutely nothing for trial lessons is annoying and more so because they do not make it 100% clear to students taking a trial that their tutor will receive absolutely nothing for it! Students need full transparency and should know that tutors get charged 100% commission for trials and 20% to 33% commission for regular lessons. The standard commissions are fine but students should be made completely aware (and not just in small print).

Love it, but could be better
I really like this app for language tutoring. Personally, I really like my tutor, I hit it off with the first one I met with which was amazing. However, I really don’t like the subscription model and my first tutor I was recommended didn’t speak English (I didn’t meet with her). For the subscription, I just don’t think it fits for what this app is doing. It’s like a forced subscription model into a platform that doesn’t really work for that. It would be nice if they kept the subscription model while also leaving the option for people to not have a subscription and still book their tutor. For the first recommended tutor I got, the app recommended an amazing tutor. However, she didn’t speak English, she spoke French and Italian, I’m a B1 French speaker so I would’ve been fine since I only speak French with my current tutor, but it was an odd recommendation given that I don’t speak Italian. From a learning perspective, I think it can be helpful to be put in the deep end, but in general I think the highlighted recommended tutor should speak your native language.

This app is great!!! I’m learning to speak and write in Italian with my super awesome teacher Prof Adreino!!!! He is very nice and very kind!!!! He is a super good teacher!!!! He is great for learning Italian!!! This app is super fun and over all very user friendly!!!

TERRIBLE
The app is very confusing and not user friendly. if you want to switch tutors it is very complicated. if you need help or you want help from the Customer Service team they are exhausting. They talk you in circles and make it even worse and you’re in the chat for hours. One of the Customer Service team members even had the nerve to yell at me. After hours of frustrating endless chatting. This month they charged me four times. And had the nerve to refund one of those times and then charge me 9.50 as a service fee for something that they did wrong to begin with. The tutors are amazing don’t get me wrong there it’s the only reason that I cannot cancel the app.

I have to add to this review! This app turns out teaches more than just language! I have to admit, although I am learning only Spanish now, I think the rest of classes would be enjoyable! My tutor for Spanish, Senora Samia U. Is very patient! I can’t recommend both her and this app enough!

Deactivate my account for no reason
I been on Preply for 3 years deactivate my account has not respond to my emails for a reason why
Notifications uncustomizable
Max time for a notification is 14 hours before a lesson which is useless when the lesson is at 6pm. I don’t check notifications at night but. So I end up losing lessons
Amazing app But Teaching
The app is amazing and really dedicated towards finding tutors, as well as being able to learn a language with a reasonable amount of payment. However, to apply to become a tutor and start your own teaching process which is something i aspire to do, you need to be at least 18 which i believe is a set back. I think that it should be reasonable for 16+ as there are younger people with qualifications that would like to start their way of working and have some more experience provided for them.

Too expensive and not curated
I don’t like the fact that you cannot choose what kind of subscription plan you need. You have to choose what they feed you. Secondly, the platform is not well curated and some of the reviews for tutors appear to be false. I met a horrible teacher on this platform that had only positive reviews. He was absolutely rude during our lesson and disrespectful. When I complained to preply they refused to take any action. Also, teachers can delete a bad review if they block a student. Annual costs for tuition are ridiculously high - in my case for a 108/week you end up paying 5184£ for the year. Very expensive considering that most tutors are not licensed teachers

No proper customer support
Do not trust! Very very bad payment policies!
They are more interested in charging than anything else! I took just one lesson and the rest didn’t work out cos it was all over the place! I asked for refund for lessons not taken but they refused. Also, be careful about auto renewal! Whatever you do, please do not use this app! Horrible! Horrific! Horrendous!
