What's New in Prkn

1.8.8

October 21, 2026

Designed for iPhone Duo, with your tabs in the side bar and layouts that adapt when the device folds and unfolds. The parking confirmation sheet now fits every screen size. Faster and smoother: fuel prices no longer freeze the app on first open, and the main screen loads with less work. Fixed a bug where the Large Text setting didn't apply until relaunch. Several rare crashes fixed, with more reliable handling of remote content. A Privacy Policy link is now available in More. Stability, privacy and performance improvements.

FAQ

What does the Prkn app do?

Prkn is a utility app designed to simplify the process of paying for parking tickets in the UAE. It uses SMS to facilitate payments for various emirates, eliminating the need to remember specific SMS numbers or formats.

How do I pay for parking using Prkn?

To pay for parking, you select the emirate, parking zone, and the number of hours you require. The app then facilitates the SMS payment process to the relevant government entity responsible for paid parking.

Is Prkn free to use?

Yes, the application is free to download and use. The app itself does not deduct any amounts for parking; instead, the government entity responsible for parking will deduct the parking tariff and any applicable SMS charges.

What regions and car plates does Prkn support?

Prkn supports parking payments for RTA Parking, Abu Dhabi Parking, Sharjah Parking, Ajman Parking, and other UAE parking services. It also supports a wide range of car plates including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and even some from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.

Can I save my frequently used parking locations?

Yes, you can save locations such as your home or office within the app. These saved locations can be shared later with any WhatsApp number without needing to save the contact first.
