What's New in Procreate

5.4.12

July 27, 2026

This update includes some small, but highly requested features! Eyedropper can pick colours exclusively from the active layer, and you can select all layers then duplicate, share, and merge them all at once. We've also fixed an issue where pinching to zoom could stop working when using Apple Pencil Pro squeeze. ¡Bienvenidos amigos de Latino América! Procreate is now a better experience for Spanish speakers, supporting both Spanish from Spain and Spanish from Latin America. Eyedropper active layer Tap with a second finger while you are picking colours to toggle between sampling from your current layer and the whole canvas. You can pick colours from a layer even if the pixels are behind something else. Multiple layer actions Swipe right on all the layers you like the look of, and tap on the Layers title to get some new options. In addition to grouping and deleting in bulk, you can now merge, duplicate and share. You can also Select All and do all those things to all your layers. There's also a bunch of high value fixes for: - brushes duplicating themselves. - transforming layer masks. - improving the end of stroke on devices with hover. - content deleting after undoing layer merges and then moving layers. Did you know in Gesture Controls under Eyedropper toggling on Apple Pencil squeeze means you can pick colours without ever touching the screen?

Кисти/ Brush

Что происходит с кистями? Они не прогружаются, при то что памяти у меня много. Я не могу ими пользоваться

Needs to be made more user friendly

For an app that claims to be the most popular graphic arts app in the iOS environment, Procreate is about as user friendly as the Tax Office. I purchased some third party brushes specifically to use with Procreate and the developers advised me to ensure that I had version 5.4 installed on my iPad. So I went to my updates in the App Store and Procreate was not listed, so could I assume that I already had the latest version installed. HTF do you find out which version you have installed???? It’s NOT LISTED in the licence section and there are no contextual menus in iOS. Needs improving guys!

Pretttyy good!

Been using for three years and there are two things we need. Proper Lasso tool not just the select tool. And infinite layers! If this is done I will rate 5 stars.

PLEASE ADD THESE!!

I would LOVE if procreate had a lasso brush, vector layers, and the ability to add multiple images in the reference window. It would be so awesome. Also I’ve experienced a lot of bugs where I can’t hold and move layers around.

New update deleted my brushes

I have used procreate for over 5 years, it has been one of my favorite art applications to where I have chosen to draw on my tablet over my pc even with the layer limits and tendency to crash.
This latest update deleted all the brushes I have bought over the years. I have spent easily 70+ in the last 5 years on complex brush collections, and procreate deleted them off the app. I now have to spend dedicated time to find where they’ve gone, see if I will have to rebuy them, and then painstakingly re-apply them.
I have barely any time to set aside to do art, and when I have the time I’d like to be able to actually draw with the brushes I paid for.

Before you say “I need to update my procreate/ipad” or “You need more space in storage” I have and I do.
