Warning it cost more and more
I don’t recommend this product because what they charge does not match their description in the app store. I paid $30 and now they want $100 a year. I want a refund

Confused, I was prompted to set up a login and the only thing the login gives you is a page to sign up for monthly extension plan? I’m new to this app but can this even be used without a subscription??? Now, the app just crashes.

Now it just exits when trying to use
I bought PromptSmart Pro a few years ago. Has worked fine, but recently it just started to exit, every time I tried to play a script.
Even old scripts that originally worked fine.
I’m really p!ssed off that a once reliable App I paid for, now doesn’t let me use it.
I’m assuming it’s associated with their more recent requirement to have a subscription?

Double Pay?
I paid $30 to download and then it’s $34 per year? Do I have that right?
Doesnt include voice scrolling
Bought this for the voice scrolling function but that is a seperate subscription
Recordings are unusable - audio drifts out of sync
The teleprompter side of this app works well. VoiceTrack is genuinely clever. The problem is the recording function, which is the whole reason to use it.
Videos recorded in the app have audio that drifts progressively out of sync. It's not a fixed delay you can correct in an editor - the drift gets worse across the recording, so nothing lines up no matter how you shift it. The cause is that the app records video at a variable frame rate while the audio stays constant. Editing software assumes a constant frame rate, so every recording comes out looking badly dubbed.
I found this out after filming videos I couldn't afford to reshoot, then spent an afternoon diagnosing the files and repairing them with command line tools. Most people won't have the technical background to do that, and shouldn't need to. They'll just have ruined footage.
Until the developer fixes the recording pipeline to output constant frame rate video, I'd avoid recording in this app entirely. Use it as a prompter with a separate camera if you must, but that defeats the point of buying it.

Pricing dodgy
I wanted to use this app as it came well reviewed. It was advertised as $49.99 on the Australian Apple App Store. I bought it and downloaded it. I saw a $52.28 charge on my credit card for the app. I downloaded the app and immediately on opening the app a pop up asking me to pay $59.99 to use the app. This is not honest or ethical pricing for a product which goes against Australian Consumer law. Not impressed and motivated to share my first impression here.

App is good but have had admin issues
I have found the app very good but on trying to explore other features my problems started. The extension was applied to the wrong account and attempts to get that sorted out have been tortuous. Support seems all about what they can’t do rather than what they can.

Paid for onetime purchase but no longer can log in to use
I bought this app back in 2025 as a one time purchase of $29. Haven't use it for a while, now trying to sign back in to use full function, system doesn't recognize my email? There is absolutely no customer service email or phone to communicate. I want my purchase back, please.

I attempted to purchase the Lifetime license but the transaction never completed. Is a Lifetime license still available for PromptSmart Pro, and if so, how can I purchase it? Also, what exactly was restored when I selected Restore Purchases?
Has become so glitchy it’s useless.
I’ve used the app for probably a decade. It’s always had some glitches, but they never really interfered with my workflow, but lately the app has become useless because the scroll stops so regularly. Very disappointing.

I’m a bit peed off as I purchased the pro app, presuming that was it, I would have access to all features for a lifetime. But helas, there was a trial, which I wasn’t aware off and now having to pay the same amount every year. Bit sneaky that, and disappointing. So please be aware!
The one I was looking for
Great app, love the voice follow feature so I don't have to pick a speed and try to keep up. One feature I wish it had is to go to the next script and create a new video.
Game Changer
This app is outstanding! I’ve been doing video production for 20+ years and have worked with many teleprompter setups. The auto scrolling is a game changer! This makes it so much easier as a solo creator when you need a teleprompter. I would highly recommend pairing it with the Glide Gear teleprompter. You can use it with and tablet or smartphone.
