This app doesn’t work.
This app doesn’t work for me. And I don’t see any Help files. So I hope they haven’t charged me for this. I’m very disappointed.
Great in English, lacking in Spanish
My only problem with this app is that when the text is in Spanish the scrolling is wanting at best, non existent at worst other than that in English it’s a solid app even with my accent
Not worth it
Money to buy plus money for a membership other program work better for 1/3 and easier to use. Don’t buy
Audio out of sync
As other users report, the audio recorded is out of sync with the video. There is perhaps a half second delay, so you see the lips stop moving about a half second before the audio stops. It’s very distracting watching the final output. While recording, the prompt speed is supposed to move at the pace the presenter is speaking, but it frequently stops moving at all.
I’ll try it for a bit longer to see if there are conditions under which it functions as advertised, but at present it appears that it is not fit for purpose. Nice idea, badly implemented.

Almost there…
Most of the time this app is on point. But there are four stupid things that need to be fixed:
1. It makes me log in every freakin week. I don’t have time for that! It’s me, bro, I am the only one using this device. Why the constant logins? If you’re checking for licensing use a token or something.
2. Editing scripts always makes the cursor jump to the end and then you need to scroll back to find where you were. STOP THAT!
3. Sometimes the script stops following my voice for no reason. A word, something in the file, or some weird bug kills it and I have to start over and create a second file. Drives my productivity down big time.
4. Won’t keep my last font size and settings. Why make users set this every single time?
Other than the video and audio saving lagging and being a little slow at times, it’s a pretty cool app with a lot of potential.

I Cannot Believe I Spent Money On This
PromptSmart only accepts cut and paste from iCloud (as an Apple user), making it very hard for me to use. I wish that I had heeded the 3.8 star review before I put any money into this. It’s perfectly awful in terms of ease of use. Surely there must be a means by which one can simply cut and paste from ordinary sources? I just want to cut, paste, read, and record. It’s not working for me in terms of workflow.

Very buggy.
The app feels like it hasn’t been updated since 2010. It always crashes and is super slow.
The Korean font is not supported, and the speed is too fast!
I’ve been using it for several years. I don‘t know what kind of version has been up for a few years. Korean fonts are still not supported, and all the sentences copied from Google Drive look like a strange format, and above all, the speed starts from 70, which is too fast for those who are slow to speak or have language disabilities. In fact, if ordinary people put it at 70, they are all too fast, so they have to adjust it by attaching one person to the side with a remote app. And even if I ask for help, there is no answer. It’s my final conclusion that it‘s not an app to pay for.

This would be so great…if it worked. It doesn’t. Wasted so much time trying to get the voice activation to reliably work. Move along, nothing to see here.

App stays on a load screen for hours
I’ve used this app one time. Now every time I open it, it stays in a loading screen won’t let you click anything on the screen. And it does this every time I open the app. I paid $30 for this app. Sure would be nice to be able to use it.
Bait and switch - constant upsell on PAID version
I happily paid the high purchase price and was ready to get to work, but no, you must also subscribe to access critical features. That kind of double-dipping is incredibly scummy.
To make matters worse, the app locks up when switching between portrait and landscape and randomly freezes during use. At this price, that’s unacceptable.
I’m going to push for this app to be delisted until the company fixes both its functionality and its misleading pricing model.

Do not buy
Awful. The lite version worked better fine, but I needed prompting for more than 3 minutes so I bought the pro version. Anytime you try to hit play the app just crashes. 100% of the time.

…I like it, but I wish you could rename script files in the file list.
Confusing Licensing and Feature Bundles
The licensing model and feature bundles is super confusing. To transfer scripts on your computer you need to pay the monthly license and they’ve made it particularly cumbersome to connect to your Google Drive and load the script on the phone. I moved from bigvu but to be honest I regret my decision and will be moving back.

Great app with terrible reliability
For such a great app, it’s a shame that after all this time they haven’t fixed the major bug causing it to crash every time you press the play button. I uninstall the app, reinstall it again and it works for 12 hours before it begins crashing constantly again. PLEASE FIX THIS
