Lost my pickup photos even with paid subscription
I figured I’d try this out on a recent rental from Hertz. So I did the three day free trial into the monthly subscription. Took the photos as I picked up my car. No problem. Was a five day rental, so my monthly fee deducted during the rental. Again no problem. But when I dropped the car off and went to take pictures, the app seemed to have forgotten my signup and asked me to sign up again even though 9.99 had already been deducted from my account. And of course the 8 photos I took of the car on departure could not be found. And of course I couldn’t stick around at the rental place to wait for customer service from the developers.
I have cancelled my subscription. I’m out the 9.99 with nothing to show for it but hopefully this review will save someone else from this issue.

Disappointed
The before photos of our rental car at night were mostly worthless. The short three-day trial period wasn’t even enough to cover my four-day car rental. I forgot to delete the app in time and got charged for a one month subscription for nothing.
Cheap app
Most all of the features don’t work as advertised. The AI scan doesn’t work, the PDF report export doesn’t work either. The app also logs randomly logs you out and it’s a huge process to get back in and restore the purchase. It’s like the developer made this app in 5 mins and hasn’t updated it or checked it for bugs since. I reached out to tech support (Gmail address) and they were extremely unhelpful and stopped responding, I believe they are in Asia or another country. Bottom line - waste of money.

Good but could be better
The concept and ease of use is excellent. I wish it let you add additional pics of problem areas and the interior. For every issue it detects, it says “unknown location.” If you know there’s an issue, point it out! How hard can that be.

Too Many False Positives
I was hopeful about this app. But unfortunately the AI looked at the ‘after’ images and had too many false positives. The car was quite dirty from all the construction on the roads. Also, the rental car return garage had strong lighting that caused many light reflections on the car that the app thought were scratches. In actuality, there were no scratches on the car. I could never use the app’s pdf report to contest findings from the rental car company. Hopefully I won’t have to. Good concept, just don’t know if the developer will ever find a way to get around the variability of lighting conditions, dirt, etc.

Does A Great Job
I only needed this for a few days. I was renting a car and wanted protection from the rental company trying to rip me off. It flat out worked. I had before and after pics. It did so well I used it to document my house and belongings. It is available by the month and I will definitely use it in the future. Well worth the cost.

Fighting AI with AI
The big rental car cọmpanies are using AI now to find every little mark and charge you for it. So I thought to myself why not have my own AI to protect myself? Proofr makes it super easy and the price is way better than I expected
Saved me from fake damage fees
I rented a car last month and took all the pictures with Proofr. When I returned it, the rental cọmpany tried to claim a scratch was my fault. I pulled up the scans and they instantly dropped it. Honestly, this app saved me hundreds.
Dealership guy asked me about it
Dropped my car off for service, scanned it first with proofr. when i picked it up the service dude actually asked what app i was using. said it could save them headaches too. felt nice knowing i was covered either way.
Simple and useful
The app is pretty straightforward, just take the pictures and you’re set. I like that it keeps everything organized instead of having random pics in my camera roll. Makes it easier to prove what condition things were in.
Saved me hassle
I usually don’t leave reviews but this one deserves it. Rented a car last week and they tried to say I scratched the bumper. Showed them the photos I took with this app and that was the end of it. Definitely worth having just in case.
peace of mind
for peace of mind, i think i'd say this app is worth it. just knowing that if someone or a cọmpany tries to get you on damage, having proof at least gives you the peace of mind.

Actually works
At first i was kind of skeptical because of some of the reviews. but they were from older updates so i decided to give it a try. As someone who rents frequently this is a must have for me. just one recọmmendation, maybe make it optional to use ai analysis.

After reading about this app on the New York Post, I was very excited to try it. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! This is a must have for any person renting a car from rental car cọmpanies. nice free trial as well.

Can’t get past page 3. Useless.
It Didn’t work
I was excited to try this but it just didn’t take the after car rental photos I needed, and there was no way to contact support, including in the linked page I was directed to. l do not use Apple mail, which looks like the only option when going to the help center, and there was no other way to get support, which seems ridiculous.

Has promise…too many bugs
This app has promise, but it has too many bugs. The images didn’t show in the correct space, the AI analysis never worked, most of the links are not clickable. I don’t think this is ready for prime time yet, so I am not subscribing. I hope they work out the bugs, because it’s a good idea

Update: upgrading this to three stars because the app developer contacted me and is trying to work through the issues that I’m having on my iPhone, which is much appreciated. ********* I downloaded the app and loaded my payment information and the app immediately crashed. Will not open after multiple attempts, uninstalling, and reinstalling, and after looking for any support anywhere I cannot find a contact to aid me. Unless I receive a message with assistance, this app is a rip off.
