Case is awesome and app worked perfectly
The app is super easy to use and I had a lot of fun getting videos with the new dual video feature.
Do not get this product
I have had problems with the buttons on the case lining up to my phone, but I mostly fixed that by turning on the video and just leaving it on permanently as I am jumping off the boat. But this morning I had an almost mystical experience with a sea turtle, and saw a shark and was a foot next to a flounder. All the while the app showed that the images were recording. None of them recorded. I'm just going to use the case and record on iPhone video. These are moments I will never get back.

App Makes Case Worthless
The case is fine, easy to use, it keeps my phone dry. But there is no way to use the iPhone camera without this terrible, laggy, buggy app. Went diving with it and about half way through the dive the app inexplicably stopped taking photos. Except it didn’t notify me or anything so I don’t have photos that I know I took (the app even blinked with shutter press like it does when it works). I have no idea why it stopped working. Additionally, I have a Pro Max iPhone and shoot in RAW all the time and clean things up in LR. The app saves RAW images as purple. What?? I don’t understand what is even happening. I tried taking it in to LR and PS and messing with WB and color channels but that did nothing. The app makes the case utterly worthless. When we went snorkeling the glare was so bad on the back of the case I couldn’t see my screen. I tried emailing the company about these issues and got no reply. What a waste of money. Maybe if they put some effort into updating the app it might be worth it. Don’t waste your money unless you see a newer app update than Feb 2026.

Atrocious app
The quality (even with 4K and 60fps enabled) is horrific. Constant frame drops in videos, terrible resolution, and no HDR support. You’re better off using your own camera app instead, it’s eons and miles ahead of this junk. I’m embarrassed of the video quality after my first test using the app.
Good case, weak app
I’m very satisfied with the Proshot case - safe and simple, and pics are great from my iPhone 16, but the app is buggy and lacking in so many ways.
I get frequent malfunctions where buttons behave differently than they are supposed to or not at all. Obvious features like software color correction are absent.

Terrible App
Love the case, but this app is absolutely horrible. It just stops working underwater and you'll miss a lot of moments because it doesn't work. It's no better topside and buttons do not work even out of the case. It constantly requires deleting and reloading and even then, sometimes it just refuses to respond to the buttons. They really need to do better. Great case rendered useless by this app. Everything freezes when the app goes into photo mode and despite have a selection button, photo mode cannot be deselected.

Videos did not save
I got such a cool shots was recording and taking photos and when I got to the shore, i found out only 5 out of maybe 25 saved. very disappointed, i dont know what happened, i saw it recording, starting and stopping and nothing is in my phone
App crashes when waking up from sleep
App crashes when waking from sleep rendering the phone and case useless since you can’t restart the app while in the case and can’t take it out of case while in water. Garbage. Update the app please
Great case, awful app
Case itself is great, app makes it unusable The case is wonderful and worked well. However, the app is terrible. I can’t even begin to explain how frustrating it is to be in the middle of a great snorkel just to have a “cellular data” or “location services” message pop up, rendering the app useless. You’re stuck with basically a floating brick until you get out of the water to click “ok” on the pop up. I missed out on some great footage. I found the best strategy is setting brightness to the highest setting, disabling auto lock, turning on location services, close out of other apps, turning on airplane mode and pray the pop up about cellular data doesn’t come up while you’re in the water.

Works great
Worker perfectly with the proshotcase. Easy to use and produced excellent underwater photos!
Proshot dive case 2.0
The case appears to work good, took it on 4 dives so far one down to 103’. The hardware could be better quality, after 2 dives there was some slight rusting showing, I was able to wipe it off(note the camera was in fresh clean water between dives and rinsed once back from the dives)
The app could use more work, the sleep mode sometimes turns on the display causing my iPhone 14 pro to get warm.
Second I have had it come out of sleep mode between dives. Not sure how it happened but would be nice if they implement a double button press to take out of sleep mode. I lost 50% battery on the boat ride out due to this, almost didn’t have battery for pictures and video for my dive and my battery was dead before we got back.

Case is great; app still bad. :-(
I’ve been using ProShot cases for several years, since they first came out. The case itself is good, and customer service for the cases is top-notch when I’ve needed help.
The app, however, is still not good, despite several years of updates. My iPhone 14 overheats when the app is running. Also, even when on dry land, touch screen does not work. (I know touch screen doesn’t work underwater, but it used to work above water, for changing app settings or switching to selfie camera; today, nope.)
I do like that it’s now simpler to toggle between video and photo, and I like the long-press to zoom in or out, although it doesn’t seem to be utilizing the different iPhone lenses when it zooms; I think it’s just digitally zooming the 1x lens. (Normally when switching lenses, the image shifts slightly due to the different positions of the lenses; when zooming in with the app, there is zero image shift.)
Image quality is great with iPhone 14, especially with the pink filter for snorkeling. Here’s hoping the app gets rebuilt in time for a 2026 trip to the Coral Triangle — if not, I gotta bail and get something different. Which is a shame, because iPhone has such a great camera, and it’s sweet to have your snorkel pics right there in your photos instead of having to transfer from a different device like a GoPro.

For the heating problem, please make sure no other apps are running in the background, and try turning on Airplane Mode with Wi-Fi off. If the phone is actively searching for data or networks, it uses a lot of power continuously, which can cause overheating. Regarding zoom, our app currently zooms in digitally from 1.0x to 3.0x, but once you reach 3.0x our app switches to the iPhone’s Telephoto Lens to utilize Optical Zoom. When you zoom out to Wide Angle, our app switches to the Ultra Wide lens to capture footage. The iPhone must support Ultra Wide Lens and Telephoto Lens for these functionalities to work in our app - this includes all iPhone Pro & Pro Max models starting from the 11 Pro. Lastly, we recommend updating to the latest 8.4 version if you haven’t already, as it includes many improvements. And as always, feel free to reach out anytime—we’re happy to help!
App stopped working
Purchased proshot camera case for my iPhone SE for upcoming dive trip but app stopped working before I got a chance to use it. Worked great when 1st downloaded. Tested several times on land and worked as advertised. 1 week later, it suddenly stopped working. App will not access camera. All camera and photo settings are set according to app’s setup instructions. Phone camera works otherwise. Deleted and redownloaded proshot app several times but camera will not turn on when using the app. Black screen in photo/video/selfie mode. Phone is running iOS ver 17.5.1. Very angry and frustrated. Total waste of money!

Very difficult to use
The case does the job but the app is super frustrating. The sales pitch says it’s simple - one button to rotate through photo/sleep/video and the other button to capture footage/snap the pic. I found that sometimes the buttons don’t work at all so you’re pressing and pressing with no response, sometimes they work - and when they work as advertised it’s great - and sometimes you press it and it zooms the camera at .5 increments instead of just taking the photo or video so you completely miss photo ops again and again. None of the instructions say anything about how to zoom vs just taking the image, or - better yet - opting out of zoom functionality, and it’s not in the settings. I looked for tips on You Tube and no one is addressing this. When you’re trying to capture wildlife images underwater the camera needs to respond instantly and predictably- this doesn’t. Proshot you need to provide a user manual and developers, please fix this app!

Frustrating
This app works well for photos but every time I try to video it crashes immediately. Very frustrating when on excursions and took away from my trip because I was messing with the case instead of enjoying my snorkel.
