Waste of time!
Crashes constantly, if it opens it takes forever. Goes blank after opening. Ridiculous!
Not user friendly
Terrible system, technicians don’t want to use takes too much time and as s shop owner I agree
It’s very old
Very old and outdated. ( it has no capability to for video record. ( it does not work on dark mode. not able to read any information. ( don’t waste your money. )
Business owner
This app doesn’t work with any dark mode.
People that are disabled or have light sensitivity issues, can not use this app. Apple should be made aware.
And they don’t tell you until you have purchased the product that “we recommend using tablets because phones don’t work very well”. Why would anyone want to walk around with a tablet when they have a phone?
Why is the Vehicle Trend Analysis sheet not amendable????? It shouldn’t even be there! It is confusing and redundant for the customer.
I’m extremely disappointed

App freeze
Every time the option to scan the license plate or vin it freezes
Easy and simple to use
Got this set up at the beginning of the year. Exactly what we needed for documenting damage on customers vehicles.
Not worth the cost
The app/ service is simply not worth the cost. They haven’t updated it in two years and it shows. Techs and service writers should have separate screens. Report layout is dated, at best. This is just not a value added workflow. Inspection screens are unusable in ‘dark mode’. On iPhone. Data point entry is clumsy, at best. Further, Why not incorporate job logging or several other features in the app? There’s a significant wasted opportunity here particularly for the cost. Mitchell1 gets a lot of money for their products, generally. Simply put, in its current iteration, this should be free.

So many issues
Absolutely useless. Get black screens and just glitchy software overall. UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE MITCHELL GET WITH THE TIMES.
Not worth it. Save yourself time and headache and use any other digital inspection software.
No support for over 2 years means it will run poorly and not fit correct on the screens of modern phones and tablets. At the foundation the layout of the report info and photos is disorganized and creates a bad customer experience. Mitchel created this software as an inexpensive alternative to the most popular digital inspection software yet I would not use it if it was free (Highly recommend Bolt On instead).
Might be better if it ever gets updated but I don’t think Mitchel cares about this software at all, the sales department is probably the only part of the company that remembers it still exists.

UPDATE YOUR APP!!
Ridiculous that I’m seeing reviews from 2 and 3 years ago that talk about some of the problems I’m facing. App hasn’t been updated in 2 years. Like others have mentioned, the X for the pictures is way to high up in the corner and goes behind the top icons making it nearly impossible to back out of a picture. And pictures are always blurry being that I take it from the app or upload a picture I took. This needs to be fixed.

Keep searching for network all day can you fix that.. please
Glitchy clumsy and takes more time than the old way
I’m not one for typing but when I try to use voice to text and I’m finished with texting I hit done and it disappears will not allow license plate VIN decoding with an open work order must start fresh from zero bunch of amateurs came up with this I am going to actively seek a different solution
Needs work
I concur with dsappyI.. it would be more likely for shops to use to this if they were able to have a technician version that could integrate /send to the service writer. basically so the technician does the inspection and then can send their diagnosis to the service writer. There is a program called auto text me that does this. if Mitchell could come up with their own version of
auto text me I think they would have a lot of paying customers

At the price point they charge, lack up updates and feature updates is disappointing.
Do you guys even read your reviews?!
$120 a month for an app that KINDA has features a tech would need and KINDA has features a service writer would need.
It’s 2021, you can’t develop an app that works in dark mode on iOS?
Zero settings to change?
Get with the picture.
My shop spends over $6,000 a year on Mitchell products... this app feels like we’re using dial-up AOL.

Isn’t working with my iPhone
I have a iPhone 11 with the lastest IOS and I can’t see anything on the app besides the phone numbers. I don’t know if I’m missing something but we use it in a regular basis for work and if there is any fix or update I need to do I would like to know about it
Great idea
I have been waiting for Mitchel to do this app for iOS. So far it’s great, but has connection issues when the device leaves the network area then returns.
Prospect
I have had nothing but problems with this app on all my devices I have android and apple products and it is the same on all of them I know Mitchell1 and snap on can afford to fix this not sure why it’s not a priority would not recommend this to anyone at this point
App clipping and blurry camera
I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max and the app is very disappointing, the top right X when taking a picture is way to high and clips the corner of the phone and can’t exit and need to cancel the whole app and to go back to inspection, also the picture come out blurry no matter what I do, and another thing the inspections don’t send to Verizon customers! I pay way to much money to Mitchell to be having these problems !!!

Some suggestions
I’m on the fence with this software. I was thrilled Mitchell got out of the dark ages and realized that not everyone uses a clunky computer these days. The ability to scan a vehicle and get Year Make and Model are a great feature.
Inspections is another must!
I guess what I am not understanding is why Mitchell took some features a technician does and some features a service writer does and put them all in one app?
Whereas the entire program has everything I need as an owner AND as a service writer... but nothing for techs to use because they shouldn’t be on the computer software at all if they aren’t performing any of the above duties or assigned to do so.
So why is the mobile software have the options to fill in MPI? Doesn’t a technician fill out their conclusions for MPIs? Why would I personally as just a general service writer forsay need to perform a MPI when this is the job of My tech?
Setting up the MPI and assigning it is my job. Performing the MPI is the techs.
The app favors more shop managers, owners, & service writers. Not all shops are alike. So why couldn’t there be features (OR IS THERE I AM NOT AWARE OF) specified just for techs. Techs won’t have access to features I choose and can still perform inspections and go paperless entirely. All While I have access to all and keep my administrative privileges to strictly myself and my partner.
I got this software thinking my techs can be more efficient with MPI and be more productive with each repair order they have.
So I am disappointed to find that I can’t delegate tech features specified to what I feel is what I want them to have access to.
So in the mean time, I am using the app.. but ALSO still dealing with the stupid clipboard Tech sheets and printing paper MPIs.
While I scan the VINs, book appts ect on the mobile App.
So in other words, if you use the app, you will have to be very wise who you choose to use it if you decide to give your techs access.
And just like any device, it’s easy to click around and be nosey when in any mobile device.
My advice if it really matters is to allow owners to assign features on the host for the app. So techs will NOT see everything you don’t want them to see or have access to. If you are going to make an app appease the one feature of the shop that keeps money coming in other than customers.. but the techs too. It’s not efficient for chicken scratched tech sheets, it’s not professional when a black from head to toe tech comes to my reception to hand back the tech sheet. And it definitely makes me worry my customer assets are not private.
All they need is their work order their schedule the MPI and features to take pics.
Not all shops have a shop foreman or shop service manager.
Add the tech features in the app. And allow us owners the capability to customize those features to each employee.
It’s pretty expensive to use it... so it definitely should be included in a new update of this thing. Not an additional charge or making a “PROSpect “Pro” version for an additional $100... smh! Mitchell.. you are almost there. Stop looking for partners to team up with then break ties only to take those ideas and still fall short. I had ProPack by Bolton Technology .. a former partner of Mitchell1..I had wished it was mobile without cost. I had a different impression. So I am disappointed. But not disappointed for the benefits of my job. But for my employees. I got the program when it came out. My rep was still learning it themselves. It’s misleading when reading descriptions because when I thought MPI, I think sweet my techs can utilize this so much. But nope. I have my own software.. on my host. I’m the customer greeter. And not all my customers really like the idea of me popping up at their car to get all their concerns in my iPad and then later they decide they want to wait anyway.
I’m a lady and before leaving my car I gather my stuff.. get my kids whatever. Then turn around to see some dude with a tablet ... um creepy. Customer greeting is fine. Getting their vin I get after they step inside. And never utilize the “ pop up greeting” idea.. let’s freak my customer out and startle them.. yea great first impression.
Thanks for reading.
