First tracker I haven't quit after a week

I knew my protein was way too low. I tried a couple of calorie apps before and dropped them fast.

Here I mostly just take a photo of my plate or say what I ate. I turned on calories and water tracking too, because I wanted to see which protein foods cost me the least calories.

What I like most is the assistant chat. I just write there: log my lunch, how much protein do I have left, what can I have tonight that's high protein and not too many calories. Everything happens in that one chat, I don't have to dig through screens.

Would recommend if you're like me and hate counting everything.

Response from developer

Thanks for writing all this 💛 We loved the bit about just asking what to eat tonight in the chat. We want Protein Buddy to make keeping track of protein feel that easy. Keep telling us what works for you and what could be easier.

Great protein tracker overall

Really like how accurate the photo scan is. I also use voice logging sometimes, especially on the go. This is one of the very few apps that helps me choose protein-rich options when I’m eating out. Overall, it feels like a very human centred app.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to share this. It really means a lot to us! 🧡 We’re so happy Protein Buddy is making daily protein tracking simpler and more useful.

Wants money

If you are going to charge me to use the app please state that before the download. I am fine paying if I know ahead of time.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. Protein Buddy is a freemium app, which is why the App Store shows it as free to download. Several features are always available for free and can be used without a subscription. Some premium features are paid, and we always show the price clearly before you start a trial or confirm any purchase through Apple. There are no hidden charges. We really appreciate your feedback and will keep working to make the difference between free and premium features even clearer.

Great app

Really enjoying it so far. Simple, fast, and exactly what I needed.

Response from developer

Thanks so much! We built Protein Buddy to make protein tracking simple and fast, so it’s great to hear it feels that way. If there’s anything we can make even simpler, hit us up in the support chat in the app. We’d love to hear it!

Highly recommended!

I used to do sports professionally, now I just train for myself — and got tired of apps with a ton of unnecessary numbers. Here everything is simple: one number — protein per day. Photo your meal — AI counts the grams itself, or you can just use voice. Lock screen widget, Apple Health sync, no registration. Convenient with no extra hassle. Recommend it!
