Improvements to how and when the app asks for feedback

Beautifully simple, if unreliable

I love love love the simplicity of this app. I’ve used it for about six weeks and it has made tracking my protein intake much easier. However, when I’m making entries, I do have to adjust them for accuracy about 30% of the time. For example, this morning I told it to log two Whole Foods breakfast chicken sausage patties. The package said that would be 13g of protein. DailyP logged it as 24g. So it’s always worth verifying. Hopefully they can continue to refine the app to get more accurate results.

Response from developer

Thank you, and thank you for the example with actual numbers in it. I reproduced it the same morning: two breakfast chicken sausage patties came back 22–24g against your package's 13g. It was sizing them like full dinner sausages instead of the small breakfast kind. That's fixed as of today (the same entry now logs 12g) and the fix covers the whole family of small-format foods (breakfast links, sliders, mini bagels, cocktail meatballs) that were getting the same treatment. Two things that still help. If you include the number, "two chicken sausage patties, 13 grams". it uses yours instead of estimating. And your edits are the right instinct any time the package knows better than an estimate does. Six weeks in and still logging is the part I'm glad about. If there are other foods where it's reliably off, the support link on dailyp.app comes straight to me, and I'd like the list.
