Unfortunately, China is one of the restrictive countries that are blocking our services. Our team is constantly working on improvements to circumvent these restrictions, although they're very aggressive. For the time being, you can try switching to a different network to see if you can access Meet, or use a VPN. That said, we'd really appreciate it if you'd consider a higher rating, as it helps us expand and make our privacy-first services accessible to more people.

On point so far

Whatever you guys are doing , keep doing it. Your other apps including email and calendar are clunky and slow and missing intuitive features. But ProtonMeet has been wonderful so far!

Response from developer

Thank you for the support. Feel free to reach out to us through the contact form on our website with more details about any issues you may be experiencing with our other apps. We'd be more than happy to help.

Pretty good

No option to call other participants from the call. Does not call to notify other participants of incoming call.
It’s real good other than that.

Better than expected

Proton Meet is terrific! Runs very smooth. For it being one of their most recent launches, it runs well. Lots of features likely to come in the future to fully compete with companies like Zoom but for standard needs, it has everything I could ask for in a web meeting app.

Camera Won’t Turn On

I’m paying for a premium version of this by my Proton subscription. I tested this out yesterday and today. Yesterday the app kept crashing. Today, the app worked but the camera would not turn on. I think I deserve a refund for being asked to pay for a product that is still clearly beta.

Response from developer

This might be related to your specific setup, so please file a bug report using the "Report problem" option in the app settings with more details such as the iOS version you're running, the type of internet connection you're using, whether you've granted Meet the necessary camera permissions, etc. If the app is still crashing, let us know the exact steps you're taking that trigger the crash and whether any errors pop up. Once you've submitted the bug report, please update your review with your ticket number so we can follow up accordingly. Meanwhile, you can try switching to a different network to see if there's any improvement. With the above in mind, we'd be very grateful if you'd consider increasing your rating, as it supports us in expanding our privacy-first services to more users.

Audio when sharing screen not working

This is a five stars. Just one problem, the fact that I share my screen often for videos with audio and at the moment I’m not capable of doing that. the audio on the videos seems to not be working.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review. We're hoping to support audio when sharing your screen in the iOS app in the future, so keep an eye on our blog and socials for any news and updates. Meanwhile, this should already be supported on the Meet web app at meet.proton.me.

Simple and easy to use

Simple and easy to use

Bye Google!

This was finally the nail in the coffin with my situationship with Google! Removed my phone number from their stuff, finally. The Proton app is a bit simple, but at least it’s solid and has E2EE! Thank you!

Oh, and an Apple TV app would be amazing!

Nope

Wouldn’t let me sign into my paid account. Not a good look.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear about that. Did you recently enable post-quantum encryption on your account? If so, please try again, as we've deployed a backend fix for the issue. If this is fixed for you, we would appreciate it if you could reconsider your current rating of the app.

Amazing!

Transitioning over ASAP

Na ja

Bin schon am Login gescheitert. Das geht einfacher heutzutage. Wieder gelöscht.

Response from developer

Sorry about the trouble. Did you recently enable post-quantum encryption on your account? If so, please try again, as we've deployed a backend fix for the issue. If this is fixed for you, we would appreciate it if you could reconsider your current rating of the app.

Macht keinen Sinn!

Will man ein Meeting erstellen bzw. „planen“, lässt sich dies gar nicht speichern. So macht diese App null Sinn, daher sofort wieder deinstalliert! Verlorene Zeit sich damit zu beschäftigen!

Response from developer

We're not aware of an issue with saving scheduled meetings. Please make sure to add a title to the meeting, as this is required in order to save it. If we've misunderstood your request, please contact our support team with more details. We'd also appreciate you considering a higher rating, as it helps us bring privacy-first services to more people.

⚠️ big bug

① please add ability to add participants

Response from developer

Hi! Thank you for the feedback and 4-star review. Proton Meet is designed primarily for professional use, where participants are often not connected on Proton. For this reason, inviting via email through Proton Calendar is currently the preferred way to add participants and share meeting links. We've shared your feedback with the team as we continue improving the app.

Make a dedicated application for contacts

Proton becomes really boring without having an application dedicated to contacts

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. We've passed on your request to the appropriate team for future consideration. You can keep an eye on our blog and our socials for any Proton-related news and updates. If you happen to have any improvement suggestions about Proton Meet in particular, feel free to let us know. We always appreciate our community's input.

Bom

Aplicativo bom.

Mal abgesehen von der fehlenden Übersetzung (dritter Menüpunkt ist auf deutsch!), gehen beide Firmen meine Meetings so rein gar nichts an!

So leider nicht nutzbar und gleich wieder deinstalliert.

Response from developer

You can schedule a meeting through the Proton Calendar app itself. This is much more practical for Proton Calendar users as you can add participants and send invitations directly from the app. To do that, click on the plus + icon in the top-right corner to add an event. From there, simply click on the "Add Proton Meet conferencing" option. A Proton Meet link will be added automatically, and you'll be able to find it by clicking "More details". Then, you can proceed to fill in your other meeting details such as the date and time, participants, description, etc. Participants will be able to join the meeting from a Proton Calendar invitation, or without a Proton account. Having the above in mind, we'd be very grateful if you'd consider increasing your rating, as it supports us in expanding our privacy-first services to a wider userbase.

Time Caps

This shouldn’t be restricted to an hour for proton unlimited customers. Company is starting to get greedy and picking and choosing what features paying subscribers get.

Response from developer

Including full Proton Meet access in Proton Unlimited would require increasing the price of this plan, which we would like to avoid. Meet is resource-intensive to run, and since we don't rely on ads or data monetization, Meet subscriptions help us cover operational expenses and ensure we can continue to put your privacy first and keep Proton independent and privacy-focused. It's also worth noting that the free Meet plan is quite generous and you can rejoin meeting rooms if you hit the 60 minute limit. If you want to use Meet for the purposes of your business, we would recommend upgrading to one of our Workspace plans. With this in mind, we'd appreciate you considered giving the app a higher rating, as it supports our mission to make privacy-first services more widely available.

Response from developer

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. We started with the most important features and a simple design, and we're continuing to refine the app and expand its functionality. We'll share this with the team. We'd appreciate you considering a higher rating, as it supports our mission to make privacy-first services more widely available.
