Noticed the app was tracking my location even after I deleted it. Was not available under privacy to disable location, only appeared at the top of my screen as “on”…
Can’t be bothered to proofread
This developer literally can’t be bothered to proofread the text in their app before posting it, or for months and months after publication. “Hmm, seems like there are no users that matches your preferences, maybe try changing preferences” (sic, seriously: “users that matches”, a run-on, and no “.” at the end of either sentence.). It’s been like this for many months. My preference is for apps developed by people that aren’t so arrogant that they think they don’t need a proofreader.

Discriminatory Marketing Practices
This company is out and about in SF handing out free drinks to anyone who signs up (totally fine). However, if they find out that you are married or have a partner they will stop their pitch, tell you they don’t want non-single people on there app at all and tell you that you don’t get to participate in there sign up deal most of the way through a signup. It is ok to want to limit your user base, it’s not ok to have wasted someone’s time and then discriminate based on marital status.

This app has potential to be great but with the makers of this app getting people to join by giving free food makes most of the profiles on the app are inactive or as joke accounts. With most bios saying they they did it to get free food and have no intention of actually utilizing the dating app.

I love this. When you want to meet someone, you do. Then and there. I’ve never liked with other apps how there’s texting back and forth for days before finally deciding to meet. Too much anticipation, anxiety and stressing over messages. This takes that pressure off and saves you from wasting all that time. When you’re out and about and feeling like you want to meet someone, you’ve got this app handy and it’s so worth it. Get it done!

Safety first
As a woman, I’ve always been pretty freaked out by the idea of meeting a stranger and have opted not to use dating apps as result. But when I found out about Proxii I was immediately intrigued. This is like the safe way to allow someone to buy you a drink at the bar. This way there accountability because if you match with them you have access to their profile, and you are inherently meeting in a public place. PLUS this is a pretty fun game for a night out with the girls! All around a great idea and app! Highly recommend!
