App fails to load more than not anymore.
Scam
Southern Software is a total scam. All of their products are like using something from the 90s. They prey on local governments and make it impossible for them to escape out of their products.
Good but needs improvement
App is working pretty good. Would love to have notifications pop up that are customizable and maybe a call history
Do not trust
Another Southern Software product that is dated, doesn’t work as advertised, it won’t be fixed. This company does nothing but scam first responders and compromise public safety.
Horrible App
To believe public safety professionals have to depend on this APP from SouthernSoftware to respond to life and death emergencies is beyond belief. This app is suitable for non critical/emergency work like dispatching garbage trucks

Frustration
Have used this software for the last year plus the app has never function properly as it is marketed. The product has not worked as described from my iPhone. Sales states the app works fine. Our 911 director states he cannot get support from the provider to correct deficiencies. I’m not sure where the problem is but the bottom line it’s broke and has not been fixed and I’m being asked to utilize software in life and death situations that is deficient. And entity that provides tools to Public Safety should step up and understand the responsibility they have to first responders and the public in which they claim to serve.

Slow
I miss the previous CAD software our agency used. This software is so slow to push CAD info and the refresh takes forever. Thankfully, I’m not one of those people that monitors CAD calls like it will somehow affect my social status in the world. However, when I am on shift and need some sort of a short report quickly, this software often lets me down.

Got a little better, back to terrible
2/28/25: Today’s update has rendered this app useless.
I thought that with the new update this app might improve, mainly because it couldn’t be worse. But I was wrong. The interface is different, but it’s still junk. When Southern Software is selling their product, I hope they are up front about this junk mobile app. Needs a lot of work to improve.
This thing will not load calls for service many times and is still very buggy. Southern Software should definitely be putting out a better product. I’d be ashamed/embarrassed to release this.

Every time I try to use this app it always seems to crash and never lets me sign in.
Needs a major update
This app would be perfect but it needs a major update. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work it would be great to have it work every time you open it especially when you are riding the officer seat on a engine company and your trying to get updates.

I love this app. I am giving it 4 stars just because I believe it could be better with the implementation of these features.
Include telephone numbers of reporting party in Mobile CAD (some officers do not have access to computers, I.e. SROs, Detectives, etc.)
Have ability to look at prior call history
Ability to add CAD notes to calls assigned
Ability to change your Unit Status (Check on duty/out of service/busy)
Ability to see call history
Ability to see OCA’s assigned by communications
Miscellaneous Suggestions
Ability to swipe out of current call (go back to CFS Calls by swiping right, instead of hitting back button at top left, on iPhone)
Ability to send chat messages to other units on duty
Ability to set jurisdiction so you can get notifications of calls occurring in your area

No map after update
We all lost our map system when the latest update occurred.
Works as intended
Good informational tool! Used as a situational awareness tool it works to give insight on relative information to calls.
Updates Needed
I give 3 stars, it’s a great update from the previous but after using it with no recent updates I can give some positive insight.
In the CFS view, it is very buggy at times making either force closing the app or going home and back into a CAD multiple times to be able to scroll to view the notes or units on the CAD.
I’m unsure if it is capable or not, but being able to view CADs prior to unit being dispatched, or pending calls as soon as a new CAD is created show within the CFS would also be beneficial.
When view a specific unit status, adding the CAD time notes into the app. (Ex. EMS 1 Enroute or Transport time to a specific hospital, Dispatch places the hospital name or a note on the CAD time however this does not show within the app)
Probably a major update or improvement would be a multi login option. Often time public safety members as myself work for multiple different county agencies using Southern Software, having to log in/out daily is annoying to say the least, but maybe creating an option to add multiple logins with a easily accessible way of swapping between the two within the app.
Long review, but seeing others I wanted to give insight on what we experience and how it can be improved. I’d be willing to give further insight or going in more depth if you’d like!

Could be much better. Doesn’t work good at all on my iPhone. Redesign the layout and some updates would be much appreciated. Will not refresh without closing and reopening. Active calls don’t show up sometimes. This thing is awful. Our old CAD system was much better but our county decided we needed to switch to this for whatever reason.

Needs update/bug fix
Needs a update/bug fix. Since the new apple update. Cad freezes, don’t show units on call without having to change cad view every time.
Poor WiFi Performance
Slow to load and update on WiFi.
Would be nice to have option to select info refresh rate (every 15 seconds, 30s, etc.), or to have the app automatically refresh info (sooner).
Integrate with Google Maps/Waze/Apple Maps for directions to scene.
