Works great with my PTZ camera

Doesn’t work with Sony cameras as claimed
The product description indicates that it works with Sony PTZ cameras. This is not true. I tried it with three different models, the SRG-A40, SRG-X120, and SRG-300SE, and none of them could be controlled by the app. I was able to see video, but could not move the cameras at all.
If I was to guess, I believe the issue may be related to a misunderstanding of the VISCA over IP protocol. The app requests that the user enters the camera sequence number, which is something that changes with every command that is sent, and the application should be managing automatically. The user has absolutely no way of knowing what the proper sequence number would be; it’s supposed to be negotiated by every PTZ controller when it first connects.
For the developer: spend a few minutes in one of the technical manuals available on Sony’s website, where Sony describes in detail how the sequence number works.

Please update to v1.1.4. You are correct that VISCA over IP requires the controller to negotiate and auto-increment the sequence number. Most cameras simply ignore sequence numbers entirely, so a static value works fine for them, but Sony cameras follow the spec strictly and reject commands when the sequence number isn't managed properly. v1.1.4 adds support for this. To enable it for Sony cameras, type sony in the sequence number field and save as opposed to the default "00 00 00 00".
