It’s amazingly bad that for years now they just can’t options right.
Options orders still default to debits, even when adjusting an existing credit limit order. I’ve donated hundreds of dollars to market makers going too fast with this “defaulting to debit” and “switching to debit” behavior when selling options and rolling. You have toggle the switch back to credit every time.
They don’t group multi-legs. A simple short put credit spread has the legs mixed up among all other options positions, requiring me to do some eye gymnastics and rough math to understand at a glance how the position is doing.
Where’s the promised AI agents?
I’m still waiting for my preferred position sort—by “Portfolio weight & 1D change” instead of “Price & 1D change.” Sorting by price is useless. How public are you if you prefer sorting by price?? The name fits, ironically.
Everything else has slowly, very slowly, gotten better. I’ll keep waiting.

Excellent app for an investor like myself that just wants to put money in on a cycle. I was able to have a 12 hour turn around for a quick wire transfer that I needed and the support team was very helpful.
Newly added FEES
Used this app for over 2 years now with no problems. Logged in today to find a buying fee, a selling fee, and a fee for NOT LOGGING IN. That blows my mind, you are gonna charge me, for not using the product. WHAT A JOKE LOL!
“Instant” withdrawal.
The app is fine. They’ve made a lot of features part of premium over the years which is annoying. The “instant withdrawal” fee is a rip off because it still takes several days. The app is easy to use though.

Great user friendly app
This brokerage app is really user friendly and their customer service is efficient and timely.
Can prevent outbound ACATS transfers
Public is the only stock broker I know of where you yourself can toggle a switch in the app to proactively prevent outbound ACATS. Maybe the closest competing feature in the industry is the Fidelity (full) money lockdown.
Great (when it’s not displaying incorrect asset values)
It offers some really interesting ways to invest and has a (mostly) great UI. Unfortunately it is extremely buggy, which is especially alarming for an investment app. The app regularly displays incorrect values for the “generated assets”. It will show an asset being down 50% in a day when the stocks that make up the asset are up/down by 5% or less that day.

They makes things difficult
Having a bad experience with them. Their customer service responds 12 hours later or maybe even more for their Premium members. They make things hard by asking you to reverify yourself and when you wanna move money out for emergency reasons they waste your time and say they can’t allow that and generally make withdrawal hard. It’s like a trap for your time and investment. I’m already falling behind my schedule because of their slow pace and maybe paranoia in dealing with cryptocurrency transactions and asking for my ID for a small transfer and then rejecting my request. I’m moving back to my old broker.

This App is everything I've been looking for in an investment App. Checks all the boxes. Tried opening a Vanguard account and had to give up! They want your first born. Public is for the Public!
The easiest and best online broker
I have money spread around a number of brokerage firms, but as the years go by, I move more and more money into Public. The breadth of investment opportunities is wide and the tools are top class.
Lacking and lagging
It's so slow to show real time data and to sell or open. There is not stop loss, take profit or trailing stop loss. Never lost so much money in my life. Piece of junk. Only good thing is that you can place options orders pre market and market price at open.
