This App is everything I've been looking for in an investment App. Checks all the boxes. Tried opening a Vanguard account and had to give up! They want your first born. Public is for the Public!
The easiest and best online broker
I have money spread around a number of brokerage firms, but as the years go by, I move more and more money into Public. The breadth of investment opportunities is wide and the tools are top class.
Lacking and lagging
It's so slow to show real time data and to sell or open. There is not stop loss, take profit or trailing stop loss. Never lost so much money in my life. Piece of junk. Only good thing is that you can place options orders pre market and market price at open.
Great Support Team
I have been with public for almost a year now and I am so grateful for the support team. They are helpers, teachers, and very responsible professionals. They make public a great choice for a trading platform. Not to mention the tools available for making money. Nothin is 100% but with their support team and the best tools available, I feel like I can make the best informed decisions for a winning strategy. No one else is close. Great Platform choice for the beginners and the professionals. They want you to be a winner.

Horrible
Can't trust it. Locks up and your money is in Limbo untail they figure it out. Hour Old Orders you cant cancel & the occassional $10.00 disappears from your account on the Regular.

If I can figure out how to successfully invest anyone can and this app has been all the difference for me. Have not liked others I’ve tried so was super pleased with the functionality of public. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. Deposits carry off without a hitch, fees are reasonable in my opinion and withdrawals … well I haven’t attempted any yet because I’m so encouraged by the investing. Trades and reinvesting was simple too.
Customer service has been spot on and speedy when needed which has been rarely. I love public! I think being able to easily understand it and invest without issues has been a big reason why I continue to grow my account. Thanks for the personal opportunity to invest in what I wan and learn as I go.

Good app
I’ve used a good amount of brokerages this and one other are the only ones I still use. It was easy to set up, and my long term positions are in here so I don’t have to go there much, and I recommend to this app to everyone.
Everytime I contact support they always fix my problem without much back and forth. My most recent issue was handled by Jose, I sent the message with my issue and his response was that it was resolved.

It’s a fantastic enabling investment platform with a wide variety of features that’s been recently enhanced with AI. I have been using the App for 2+ years building my own diversified portfolio. Their customer service is professional, consistent and second to none. They are client-centric. I am very pleased. Shout out to Jack and Erin in customer service.

I have NEVER been more DISAPPOINTED
Besides being the slowest trading app that I’ve ever placed trades in…They charge extra for everything that’s FREE on Robinhood & others. What made me finally leave was when I had a trade placed to buy at 8:30am & they charged me the 2.99 for an early morning trade! Customer Service said that’s our policy. THE MARKET’s OPEN at 8:30am! Not cool & they would not budge. They lost a client over $2.99… terrible customer service decision in my opinion & my entire Discord agreed.

Honest take
I have tried many different platforms for trading and investing and I was blown away how Public is not talked about more.
I would say they rank right at the top for ease of use, as well as very responsive and (actually) helpful customer service

Worst CS & Process EVER!
I did a lot of research prior to committing and making a transfer. Once the transfer was made and statement for fund transfer inception provided, CS/TS has taken days (to request) an account statement from which funds have never yet been sent, but the statement does not yet exist. I cannot trade, and these less than competent people are holding my monies. Definitely DO NOT recommend Public!

Sam jumped on the chat immediately, patiently walked me through every step, and made sure I fully understood the process. He followed up personally to confirm everything went smoothly. When I had a follow-up issue, Jeff got involved and resolved it even faster than I expected, going above and beyond to explain options I didn’t even know existed. Their professionalism, clarity, and real desire to help made what could have been a stressful situation completely painless.

Not for serious investment
I tried Public and even signed up for annual premium because I loved the site design and it advertised being for serious traders. After using for less than a month, I’ve learned there is no support, the trades are not automatically routed through exchanges but “order flow” giving you odd pricing. You can buy crypto but good luck transferring it out, it holds pending for days. ACH transfers hold pending for days. The support tells you use a wire if you want instant transfers. I just expect that if I initiate an ACH, it’s not still in my account 24 business hours later as “pending”. IBKR, Robinhood, Schwab, Webull, all of these will often show up in ACH account same day, not public…they profit from your fund pending, your trades pending, and advertise 5.7% in bonds, but charge you fees such that you won’t profit that for a year. I’m amazed that this has so many high ratings. People clearly haven’t used a good broker before. This is like if RobinHood met Coinbase and took the worst parts of each other.

Small investors beware
If it asks for a deposit to be able to have enough there to buy shares, it will make it less than a dollar short even though it gives you the amount to deposit. After the deposit goes through, it says you are short and says you need to deposit again, but then does a minimum deposit of $20. It does this because you’re not able to buy partial stock and therefore your $ just sits there for them. It could be a class action suit…
