By far, AWESOME!

My dog used to dread going to the basement, but now that we’ve been training just about everyday for almost 2 months, I think it’s safe to say she loves it! It’s a great app for puppies and dogs, it even tells you what is safe and what’s not good for puppies. The only in app payment is puppr premium, I’m not arguing because we have a wide variety of things! They also have a shop where you can buy treats, training equipment, merchandise, etc.

My absolute favorite part is sharing pictures! Everytime your dog masters a trick, they can choose to upload a picture of their dog, people can give them bones (likes) and comment on their post! You can even friend other dogs on the app! This is one of my favorite ways to bond with my dog and I am so super grateful to have puppr in my life!

Great for first dog owners

I really enjoy this app. I haven’t had a puppy in years so this has helped a lot. I do think that there needs to be more socialization sections for young puppies. Especially, for future SDs or for people who want to take their dogs out to pet friendly places and doing activities of dog sports. Other than that this is the perfect app for pet owners.

So far, so great!

Have only been using this app for two weeks, but the transformation has been huge from the 8-week-old puppy I picked up to the 10-week-old puppy I have now. Love the videos that accompany each lesson, they make understanding the concept much easier. The 12-month puppy plan is a lifesaver!!

The only thing I feel is missing is getting to see this work done with actual puppies who don’t already know the moves and cues. Sometimes when my dog doesn’t get it, I’m a little unsure about where to go next.

Great App for training

I think this app will help a lot because it teaches you how to teach your dog to do things, and you can do fun challenges too!! Overall this is a great app

I miss it

I joined Puppr when it was an exciting, unique app. You could caption posts, comment on them, and there was a designated community section for photos of your dog that didn’t fit a certain trick category. It was a lot more fun to use back then, and people had formed a tight-knit community of friends who all helped one another out with training. There were even designated holiday post categories around the holidays, and special raffles where you’d post the reason you loved Puppr in the comments of a developer’s profile and had a chance to win Puppr merch. (I actually won one of these raffles, the letter I got in the mail from them is still on my desk.) Now that all of those community features were removed, the charm Puppr used to have is gone. What made Puppr stand out was that special community everyone had built, but now it’s just like any other dog training app, just with a subscription fee and doggy warmline. Certainly not a bad app, the old features of training are still there and have likely improved, but as I said before, the soul is gone. I really miss my old friends. (Sorry for the political title, I’m hoping for this review to be eye catching so that previous Puppr users considering re-download might see it and be better informed on its current state.) I love you Puppr, I’m just grieving what you used to be.
