Nah
Just nah. I’ve seen better performance on South Side Chicago…

Very buggy, not a reliable service
Bad around the board
Buses are consistently late on fixed routes. On demand is basically a worse Uber, sometimes I get picked up, sometimes it doesn't even wait for me, sometimes I can't even find a ride. What's the point of terminating the CityBus contract if there is no working alternative.
Never works
Honestly, I have tried booking multiple times but I was never able to book a trip. The interface is buggy tried reinstalling and restarting the app without success. Purdue needs to build a better application for this service to be useful for students.
Garbage app
Genuinely probably the most frustrating interface I've ever seen and on top of that it's super buggy I genuinely don't understand how an app that's this simple could be messed up so much there's literally three routes that do the same thing everyday
Fix your app.
Ever since the Citybus transfer I have only been met with inconveniences and inefficiencies. Time and time again the app will refuse to let me log in, provide inaccurate locations of the buses, and overall add 40+ minutes to my commute when I do not even live off campus! If Purdue had the resources to spend $10 million+ on a new contract they can funnel resources towards fixing their app.

It never loads
It keeps saying login fails after I input my Purdue credentials…so there’s no point cuz I cannot search up the bus or know where it’s at
In one word - useless
I hate to say it, but absolutely nobody needs this. Purdue is already a very walkable campus. You do not need a bus to get to class and it’s good exercise to walk or bike. Bike lanes are open and either option is much more efficient than the bus.
Speaking of bus, they need to bring back citybus. It was so stupid to cancel their contract. The people on campus don’t need the buses, the people off campus do.
For a school that handled COVID so well, they sure had a top ten biggest downgrade.😔😔😔
P.S. these shuttles could be used as backup or additional shuttles for campus connect to Indy instead, like how Lafayette Limo and Reindeer Shuttle operates.

Dumpster Fire
Wow the company in charge of this transit system is bad. Fixed route drivers don’t know which way they are going because of the confusing figure 8 route. There isn’t enough busses. The on demand is usually good besides one lady who should be fired because I got told I missed my bus even though I was waiting at the stop and it did not show up.

Poor service
If you book a ride in advance and it’s 30 minutes late what’s the point of booking a ride? Might as well run a fixed route on a schedule.. downgrade from CityBus!
Who asked for this?
Purdue nixed my bus line and all I got was this lousy app.
Trash
Unlike City Bus, if you are not looking at your phone at the pick-up stop, you will magically get cancelled on. I looked at my notifications a minute before pick up and saw that because I didn’t “confirm ride” within a 4 minute window, I got canceled and stranded on campus until I either pay for city bus (which I’m doing) or wait for another hour to get home waiting on the next available driver.

Routes + app are horrible
Whoever came up with the bus routes had to have been under the influence of hard drugs. It’s like they chose the worst possible routes and said “yeah these routes are fire, let’s make it as hard as possible for students to get to class so everyone is late.” This app is extremely bad as well and the location of yourself/the busses don’t even update correctly.

Awful
Purdue ruined the bus routes and the app is terrible. The regular busses have useless routes. I used the option where you pick where you want picked up and dropped off in the van and it was 20 mins late.
Significant downgrade
This app does not work and the routes are dogwater. Wayyyyyyyy worse than just taking the city bus. I can't believe they switched over to this.
Horrible routes
Good on Purdue for having the only bus route that goes through the most densely populated area on campus to go around Ross ade stadium. All of my classes are over there. But seriously whoever made these routes must have no concept of the campus at all. Bring back city bus.
S(B)ad Service :(
App doesn’t load. When it does the interface is glitchy. The routes are minimal at best and no where near as easy to navigate as previous options. Additionally, on demand is near useless due to severely limited options. Do better Purdue.
Simply not enough
This app may seem like it’s great at first, but if you’re living off campus, you’re screwed. They removed the buses that pick up on lindberg and now have what are basically Ubers available. The only problem is that those Ubers can’t pickup nearly anywhere north of campus because they have set pickup spots. They need to add more pickup/drop off locations. Now that they’re also removing mostly all of the free parking 2-hour parking, students living off campus have almost no way to get to class without having to leave their home an hour early to walk or pay to park. Students living off campus need to be able to get to class feasibly too.

Don’t bother with this app
This app is absolutely rubbish to use. It’s terribly buggy and the interface is significantly worse than the CityBus app.
Sp+ goal is to not really provide bus service and to keep their multi-million dollar contract secret. They will never provide enough buses and will never be cheaper than citybus. The entire contract is a scam that purdue students have to pay for. CityBus was a municipal service offered to benefit the citizens. SP+ is run by California based Alex Israel and Investors who own Metropolis (formerly Standard Parking at 330 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, California)
Citybus previously covered all dorm routes, and purdue got rid of them to funnel money into SP+ for more money for less service. SP+ setup the routes so no one actually uses them. They want profits not expenses. That is why the dorms with the most bus demand are not covered by SP+.
