Pure Bible Focus is for learning a passage by heart and focusing on God's word. It shows you the King James text with some of it taken away, and gives it back the moment you ask. HIDE THE WORDS YOU KNOW Choose the words to take out of the page — any word the King James uses, or a wildcard like lamb* that covers lamb, lambs and every other form at once. What is hidden leaves a blank where it stood, so the shape of the verse is still there to think against. One switch on the bar puts every word back, and another puts them away again, without losing the list you built. TAKE A WORD DOWN TO A CLUE Three ways, and you choose which the switch applies: • Ends — In t-e b-------g G-d • Consonants — -n th- b-g-nn-ng G-d • Vowels — I- --e -e-i--i-- -o- Every dash stands for exactly one letter, so the line keeps its length and a word you half-remember is still the right shape on the page. READ IT BACKWARDS Reverse the words of every verse and the sentence you have been reciting from memory stops carrying you along. The punctuation stays where the text put it; only the words move. PRESS A VERSE TO SEE IT WHOLE Hold any verse and it comes back in full — nothing hidden, nothing masked, in its own order. Hold it again and it goes back under the lens. Several verses can stand open at once, and turning the page forgets them, because it is a glance rather than a setting. GIVE A WORD WEIGHT Mark the words a passage turns on and they stand out in size and colour wherever they appear. Nothing is reordered and nothing is added — emphasis changes how a word looks and never what the verse says. THE WHOLE KING JAMES, IN YOUR HAND The 1769 King James is inside the app: 66 books, 1,189 chapters, 31,102 verses. Swipe left and right to turn the page and the text follows your finger, from Genesis straight through to Revelation. Tap any word for Noah Webster's 1828 — the edition that defines the English the King James is written in — and for where that word falls in the verse, the chapter, the book and the whole Bible, with its letters, vowels and consonants counted. KEEP THE VERSES YOU ARE WORKING ON Bookmark a verse from the word sheet or by holding it, file it in folders of your own, and come back to it by name. NOTHING ELSE No account. No network. No advertising, no analytics, nothing collected. The whole Bible is inside the app, so it works with the phone in airplane mode, and it is free. ONE VERSE AT A TIME A single verse in the middle of the page, and nothing else. Swipe up for the next, down for the one before, and keep going past the end of a chapter into the next — the sequence runs from Genesis to Revelation. A rail down the edge marks how far through the chapter you are, and a press on it takes you anywhere in the chapter without leaving the verse behind. This is the plainest thing the app does and the hardest to stop doing. A page of scripture lets the eye run ahead, find the phrase it wants and skip what it already half-knows. One verse alone refuses that. You read this verse, or you read nothing.
